One last time

CHAPTER 8

"Good work, everyone! 10 minute break" the choreographer yelled. 

Today was the day SuperM and Angels practiced the choreography for group songs. 

You looked around to see where the girls were. Soyeon was where she was, standing next to Baekhyun talking and giggling.

It's okay, Y/N. 

You looked to see Mei sitting on the floor on the opposite side of the room. You smiled and sat next to her.

"How are you feeling?" you asked.

Mei looked at you and giggled, "Much better."

You looked at her confused. You noticed she was staring at something. You followed her gaze. Your eyes got wide.

"Mei!" you whispered playfully.

"What?," she smiled. "Ten is so cute!" 

"Yeah." you replied.

You took a gulp of your water and sat with your back against the wall.

"How are you feeling?" Mei asked,

"Tired. But, good." 

"Good."

You and Mei looked as Soyeon was pushing Baekhyun's arm, playfully. He was smiling at her too.

"Wow, she moves fast." Mei commented.

"Yeah." you whispered and looked down at the ground.

She looked at you, confused, "Are you okay?"

Think quick. "Yeah, these numbers are killing me."

She chuckled, "Yeah, me too."

"Alright, everyone gather around." the choreographer yelled.

You groaned and slowly got up, using the wall as a crutch. You looked beside you and seen Mei still sitting. You held out your hand as she grabbed and pulled herself onto her feet, hurting your already sore arm in the process.

SM and Angels circled around her. 

"Before you all go, it is time to discuss some paired choreo. As you all know there is 7 guys and 3 females. With this in mind, each girl will have a chance to dance with each member at least once.

Great. you thought as you sighed.

"So, we will go over the plan and we will see how this works." 

You spaced out as she started reading out each members song and partner. 

Once? You could feel your stomach turn again. Or that could be the new diet and endless dancing. 

I have to dance with him, once. Once?! Calm down, Y/N! Maybe we will have someone else with us. 

"Then we have Y/N with Mark, Kai, and Baekhyun. Then.."

Great. Here we go. My partner for the song. I know it will be him. You could feel the panic about to start. 

"Y/N, your pair songs will be with Taemin." she said and pointed in his direction. Taemin held his hand up and smiled. You smiled back.

Thank god. 

After dance practice, you and the girls decided to go out for lunch; which really wasn't even lunch due to all of you being on a diet. You and the girls went to a nice, small cafe that had a nice relax vibes with its brick walls and plants hanging on the walls. You and girls decided to sit outside to soak up some sun, after being in a small lit room for hours. Soyeon had a sandwich and coffee. Mei got a small fruit salad with water. You were not hungry but opted for protein shake and water.

Soyeon sat down, smiling, taking her black sunglasses off, "Girls." she said

You and Mei looked at her.

"What did I tell you?"

You looked at her, confused.

"We ended up with whom we wanted to." she said smiling and took a bite of her sandwich.

"Yeah." Mei said, blushing. 

You smiled seeing her so happy.

"Mark is so cute." 

"Now you get to dance with him." Soyeon said and playfully pushed her arm.

"What about you, Y/N?" Mei asked.

"What about me?" you asked.

"You and Taemin." Mei said.

"It's cool."

"It's cool?" Mei asked.

You took a sip of your protein shake, "Yeah. What am I supposed to say?"

"I don't know. I thought you would have more enthusiasm than that."

"Sorry."  you said and took another sip as you started scrolling through your social media. As you were scrolling, your phone vibrated.

Is this Y.N?

"Huh?" you said.

The girls looked at you.

"What's wrong?" Soyeon asked.

"A number texted me asking if it was me?" 

Mei's eyes widened, "Be careful, Y,N. That could be someone whom knows we are debuting and ready to stir the pot."

"Sasaeng?" You implied.

"Yes." 

"Highly doubt it." Soyeon said as she took a sip of her water.

You looked at Soyeon's body language. You already knew somehow she may be involved. She is level headed. But, this was too chill for a situation like this.

You looked at your phone as it vibrated again.

It's Taemin. I asked a staff member for your number. If that's okay.

"It's Taemin." you said.

Mei squealed, "It's fate." 

You shot her a look, "Mei, it's just a text." 

"For now?" Soyeon said.

"And always." you replied, becoming a little annoyed.

YOU: It's okay.

TAEMIN: So, would it be okay if we practice for our routine tomorrow morning?

"He wants to practice our routine tomorrow morning." you said.

"Yes!" Mei said, excited.

"Hey, Mei?" you said.

"Yeah?"

"Wanna switch partners?" you teased.

Mei shook her head and put her finger over her lip and pretended to zip it.

YOU: Sure.
