"It has been examined once and confirmed that there aren't any problems."

"That's strange." A hint of confusion flashed past Jeon Chongshan's gaze.

All of a sudden, a male helper charged towards Elder Jeon Chongshan with a dagger in his hands as though he had gone insane. It seemed as if his dagger was about to pierce Jeon Chongshan.

Nancy and Huang Zhishu, who were several steps away, immediately turned pale in fright. They both cried out in shock at the same time.

But Soobinappeared seemingly out of nowhere. With a kick, he sent the helper flying.

Elder Jeon had yet to recover from the ordeal. His wrinkled face was extremely pale.

Lisa rushed to support the elder and asked in concern. "Grandfather, are you alright?"

Nancy and Huang Zhishu also rushed forward. They said in unison, "Grandfather/Father, are you ok?"

Elder Jeon glared angrily at the male helper who was held firmly on the ground by Tong Yu. He narrowed his eyes and saw that it was actually Hao Changsheng, who had worked in the Jeon family for a long time. "There are no grudges between us. You've been taking my Jeon family's salary, yet you dared to attack your master!"

"Hahaha! Hahaha!" Hao Changsheng laughed maniacally as he pointed at Lisa. "Demon, she's a demon!"

Lisa's expression changed slightly. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

"She isn't human, she isn't human!" Hao Changsheng's expression twisted frighteningly. "With Lisa around, the Jeon family will never have peace! You'll suffer great misfortunes!"

Jeon Chongshan was extremely angered by these words. "Nonsense! Exactly who sent you to attack me?"

Hao Changsheng appeared not to have heard anything. His expression was maniacal and even his eyes were frighteningly bloodshot.

"Take him away. Interrogate him firmly. Force him to utter the instigator's name, no matter what!" Jeon Chongshan waved his hand.

Soobiwas about to carry out his orders when Hao Changsheng fell forward and collapsed on the ground.

Mingde immediately stepped forward. He checked for his breath with two fingers and reported heavily. "Elder, he has stopped breathing."

"Can you tell the cause of his death?" Jeon Chongshan's grey brows furrowed.

Mingde scanned the corpse carefully. "He appears unharmed. The cause of death is not noticeable to the eye."

Huang Zhishu trembled in fright. She fearfully spoke to Jeon Chongshan. "Father, this Hao Changsheng suddenly lost his mind and died without a clear cause. Could it be that there really is something dirty in our mansion?"

"Grandfather, you have to investigate this matter thoroughly." Nancy also appeared frightened.

Jeon Chongshan's gaze was sharp despite his old age. He glanced at the two of them. "What are you trying to say?"

Huang Zhishu appeared to have decided to give it her all. "Father, too many strange things have been happening in our family. First, it was the fishes that died without any cause. Next, it was the dogs that barked relentlessly through the night. Even our long-time helper has gone insane. Could it be that there really is a problem with our Jeon family's luck?"

Jeon Chongshan raised his voice. "Our Jeon family is extremely prosperous. How could there be any problems!"

"For some matters, it is better to believe than otherwise." Huang Zhishu began carefully. "Father, I heard that Miss Fang recently used the money she received from younger brother, younger sister-in-law and you to purchase ten haunted apartments. Those apartments are haunted. Could they have affected our Jeon family's luck."

"Isn't it?" Nancy continued softly. "If our Jeon family's good luck was ruined by our future cousin-in-law, will she be able to shoulder this responsibility?"

Jeon Chongshan looked at Butler Mingde. "What do you think about this matter?"
