Sehun appeared as though his soul had been stolen. He stared blankly at her back view.
Right before she stepped out of his office, she paused.
He could not help but think that she had changed her mind. However, she only added heavily. "I hope that you'll attend my wedding."
Right after, she disappeared before his eyes.
It was as though she hadn't only stepped out of his office, but out of his life.
Tears rolled down Sehun's cheeks, yet he was completely unaware.
Tears were meant to be salty. Why was it that all he could taste was bitterness?
Ten minutes ago, Jungkook stood in the enormous Sheng Shi Group's CEO Office.
He knew that Lisa would meet Sehun today and inform him of her upcoming wedding.
He already knew that Sehun had inappropriate thoughts towards Lisa. Thus, he did not arrange for someone to follow after Lisa. Instead, he had his men install a voice recording device beneath Sehun's office desk.
When he heard Lisa returning all of Sehun's assets to his name, Jungkook was very satisfied.
Sehun's Hau Feng Finance company as well as the four storeys of offices in Huan Ya Building were worth quite some money.
Considering how Lisa returned them to him without any hesitation, she truly did not hold any greed for his money.
When he heard Sehun claiming that Lisa was not allowed to marry him, Jungkook's eyes flashed with murderous intent.
If he had known this would happen, he wouldn't have allowed Sehun to clear his name two years ago. It would have been better if he had remained locked up!
His heart had softened for Lisa but this has only added further obstruction to the happiness he shared with Lisa.
When Lisa insisted on marrying him and declared that Sehun was only her brother, a hint of satisfaction flashed past his eyes.
"If I can't be with Jungkook, I won't only be upset. My world would also... be ruined." Lisa's heavy and heart-aching voice could be heard clearly through the voice recording device.
Jungkook's frozen heart moved deeply listening to these words!
He had never known that he was this important to Lisa. He was important to the point where if she lost him, she would be... ruined.
He closed his eyes.
Likewise, if he lost her, he would lose all attachments to the world. Lisa was his life!
He was thankful that he had secretly installed this voice recording device. Otherwise, he wouldn't have heard his beloved wife's moving confession.
He had wanted to murder Sehun, but he felt all his anger dissipating after this.
At the end of the day, Sehun was but a pitiful man who would never obtain the love of his life.
When Lisa invited Sehun to her wedding, Jungkook immediately felt that this was a good idea. Sehun needed to clearly understand that Lisa was a woman he could never have!
He could hear the noise of the office door closing. He guessed that Lisa must have left.
Jungkook was about to turn off the device when he heard Sehun's angered voice. "To think that the great Sheng Shi Group's CEO Jeon would sneak around to do such a thing?"
He had clearly noticed the device.
Jungkook smiled lightly and said coldly, "Not bad. You actually found it."
