"My father... Marco Brushweiler," Lisa answered him.

Jingyuan suddenly understood. He sat up from the bed abruptly. "This cannot be coincidental. It's very possible that your father, Marco, is my son, Michael!"

Lisa nodded lightly. "I was also considering this possibility."

"Hurry!" Jingyuan trembled from agitation. He got off the bed without pausing to put on his slippers. "I'm going to see Marco. Right now!"

"My father has been on the hospital bed for several years. A few minutes won't make any difference. Please put on your shoes first." Lisa supported him up and knelt down to help him put on his slippers. She then supported him out of the hospital room. "I arranged for my father to be in the room right next door so that it would be convenient for you to see him."

Right as they approached the hospital room next door, Jingyuan suddenly froze in fear.

Lisa turned to him in confusion. "What's wrong, Grandfather Brushweiler?"

"I'm afraid I'll be disappointed." Jingyuan's hand froze in mid-air. He was deeply fearful that after pushing this door open, he would not see the son whom he had been missing dearly.

"In that case, let me show you a photo of him first." Lisa brought her phone out and tapped on one of the pictures she had saved. In the image, a lively middle-aged man was captured. He had very short hair and a squarish jawline. His brows were slightly furrowed with worry and this caused him to appear slightly old. This photo was taken a long time ago.

Jingyuan was extremely agitated. "He... he is your father?"

"Yes." She nodded.

"That's my son, my Michael!" Jingyuan mustered up his courage after looking at the photo. He pushed the hospital room door open.

A middle-aged man was asleep on the bed right next to the window. Although he was still in his forties, his hair had begun to grey. Perhaps it was because of his coma and because he had relied on IV for nutrition for a long time, he appeared especially thin and fragile.

After twenty years, the man's appearance had changed significantly. Still, Jingyuan immediately recognised the unconscious man to be his son, Michael!

"Michael, Michael!" Jingyuan cried as he trembled.

He approached the bedside and took in the sight of his son who was still alive and well. Although his son could not respond to him, Jingyuan was already in tears. For him, all he needed was for him to be alive.

Lisa tugged a chair over and supported him to sit down.

Jingyuan sat down by the bedside and held Marco's hand tightly. He spoke up hoarsely. "Michael, it's Father. Father is here to see you! I've finally found you!"

Lisa began to tear up at this scene.

It turned out that aside from her father, she still had another living relative in this world.

Perhaps it was because he had heard his father's call, a tear rolled down Marco's cheek.

Lisa became extremely agitated. She immediately said, "Grandfather Brushweiler, look! My father is crying! He must be able to hear you. Continue speaking to him! Around two years ago, my father seemingly heard me speaking and teared up as well. The doctor mentioned that such reactions are a sign that he may regain consciousness!"

Marco immediately became even more agitated. He stood up. "My son, you can hear me speaking, can't you? I miss you. I was wrong. I shouldn't have chased you out of the family or disagreed with your marriage. Your eldest brother passed away a long time ago. Your second brother also died in a car accident a while back. You're my only son now. I can't lose you. I absolutely can't!"
