"Tell me then, what mistake did you make?"

"I..." Nancy searched for the right words. "I was careless and didn't hold the vase properly. I ended up injuring your head."

"Careless?" Jingyuan smiled mockingly. "You sure are able to come up with a new way to describe murdering someone for their money."

Nancy lifted her head to look at him in shock. "Grandfather, how could you think that way? You're my only living relative. How could I possibly try and harm you for money?"

"Back when you smashed that vase against my head, I keenly felt the force you applied to that blow which showed your murderous intent." Jingyuan glanced at Lisa gratefully. "If Lisa hadn't rushed over in time, I would have died in your hands!"

"Grandfather, you've really misunderstood me!" Nancy refused to admit to it. She turned and glared at Lisa in anger. "It's you. You must have set up this trap for me because you are greedy for the Brushweiler family's wealth."

"Oh? What kind of trap did I set up for you?" Lisa harrumphed coldly. "Could it be that I forced you into smashing the flower vase against Elder Brushweiler's head?"

"I..." Nancy had no choice but to admit that she had hurt him with the vase.

First of all, Jingyuan had personally witnessed her doing so. Secondly, her fingerprints were on the vase.

"Grandfather, no matter what, Lisa is the one with bad intentions. She wasn't satisfied with the ten percent of shares you gave her." Nancy spoke as though with good intentions. "You mustn't be fooled by her."

Jungkook held his wife while sitting on the couch. When he heard Nancy pushing all her crimes onto his wife's head, he dearly wished he could shoot this whore to death right this instant!

However, this was the Brushweiler family's matters and he had promised not to interfere. Thus, he maintained his silence.

When this matter was settled, he would eliminate Nancy, this troublemaker!

Jingyuan was unmoved by her words. He sat down on the couch and a servant quickly served him a cup of hot tea.

Mingyu and Huang Zhishu remained standing. No one paid any attention to them.

It was silent in the living room for a moment. Jingyuan unhurriedly tasted the tea. "You know Auntie Qiu, don't you?"

Nancy's expression turned flustered for a moment. She pretended to be confused as she looked around the living room. "Grandfather, are you asking me that?"

"Obviously."

"I don't know her." Nancy shook her head obediently.

Jingyuan lifted his hand and a servant brought a stack of photos over.

In the photos, Nancy was captured while in a secret meeting with Auntie Qiu. The photos clearly depicted scenes of Nancy handing a large bag over to Auntie Qiu. After Nancy left, Auntie Qiu opened the bag and counted the money inside. There was around a hundred thousand dollars.

When Mingyu and Huang Zhishu saw the photos, they both turned pale. However, they remained silent.

"Do you recognise her now?" A hint of rage could be heard in Jingyuan's voice. "She is the Lee family's ex-servant. Tell us, why did you give her a hundred thousand dollars?"

Nancy did not expect her meeting with Auntie Qiu to be photographed! She felt a sense of foreboding and immediately began making up stories. "It's like this. I was out shopping once and nearly got into a car accident. It was Auntie Qiu who saved me. I gave her the money as a form of my gratitude."

"Why did you say you didn't know her earlier, then?"

"I didn't wish to ruin my benefactor's reputation." Nancy lied to his face.
