"Kiya there's nothing wrong with your body, you're far from being fat" Xavier said
"Thanks Zay" I said
"You can put your clothes back on before someone walks in and gets the wrong impression" he said
I slipped my skirt back on then my top.
"Iris did this?" he sits on the end of my bed
I nod
He sighs "I should've listened to everyone"
"It's not your fault, you thought she was different" I said
"She's just like everyone else" he said
Xavier has never been in a healthy relationship before, they always end up cheating on him. At first I thought it was him but it might just because some people are just messed up. I think his mother and father's relationship sort of projects on him.
I sat on the bed beside him laying my head on his shoulder.
"You can do better" I said
"Like who? You?" Xavier said
I look up at him, we end up busting out laughing
"Nah for real, you're not my type" he said
"Ouch, I forgot you like lost puppies" I said
"Ki shut up" he said
"You're going to have to leave soon I'm going to Amari's house to study" I said
"Can you skip it we hardly ever hang out anymore, you're always with him" Xavier said
"I can't Zay, you can come over tonight" I said
"Might not be able to my mom grounded me for hitting my dad" he said
"She grounded you for defending her?" I ask
"Yup!" he said
"That's stupid" I said
"I know" he said
My phone dinged, Xavier grabbed my phone before I could.
"Zay give me my phone back" I tried to take it but we ended up falling on the bed with me on top of him.
Xavier looked at me his eyes softened
"What? why are you looking at me like that?" I ask
"Nothing" he pushed me off of him
"You've been acting weird ever since you got back, what's up" I said
"Amari is waiting for you" he said
I quickly got up and put my shoes back on.
"I'll call you when I get home" I said
"Ight Ki" he said
I quickly walked downstairs grabbing my books off the kitchen table and made my way to Amari's car. He was sitting on top of his car, he got off when he saw me and opened the door for me.
