"Ah, the Vytal Festival tournament! One of the most anticipated events of the year, and the perfect way to introduce the next generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses to the world," exclaimed Oobleck, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Indeed, Dr. Oobleck. And what better way to kick off the festivities than with a match between two promising teams?" replied Port, holding up his book.

The two professors then proceeded to introduce the first match of the tournament, which was between Team RWBY and Team ABRN. As the students took their positions in the arena, Oobleck and Port watched with excitement, eager to see the young Huntsmen and Huntresses in action. However, on the bleachers, there sat a woman with a white cape covering her identity.

A student approached the mysterious woman, and she nodded at him to come and sit with her.

"Any updates on that bitch?" the hooded woman asked.

"They have gone dark, which means the intel that suggests it will occur at the Vytal Festival is true," Cardin said, looking worried.

As she sat in the bleachers, watching the students in the arena below, the woman with the white cape couldn't help but feel conflicted. She was an agent, trained to protect her nation from the darkness that threatened it. But she was also a mother, with two young daughters who needed her guidance and support. It was a difficult balancing act, and one that often left her torn between her duty to America and her duty to her family.

Summer Rose had always known that being both a huntress and an agent would come with sacrifices. She had accepted that when she signed up for Team STRQ, and later when she joined the CIA. But now, as she watched her own daughters following in her footsteps, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right choice. Was it worth risking her life and leaving her family behind to serve a country that sheltered her in her time of need?

These were questions that Summer had been grappling with for years, but she had never found a satisfactory answer. All she knew was that she had a duty to protect the United States, and that duty would always come first. But as she watched Yang and Ruby fighting alongside their own teams in the tournament, she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. Had she been selfish to pursue her dream of becoming a Huntress, and later abandon her children by joining a nation she hadn't even been born in, knowing that it would take her away from them?

It was a difficult thought to bear, but Summer knew that she couldn't dwell on it now. She had a job to do, and the fate of Remnant and her nation depended on her and her fellow agents. But as she watched the students below, she made a silent vow to herself. She would do whatever it took to protect her daughters and ensure that they never had to make the same sacrifices that she did.

"You're planning to meet them?" Cardin questioned.

"I don't know... Would they even want to see me?" Summer replied nervously.

"I may not have children, but I think you should approach them now while you still can," Cardin advised.

"How?" Summer looked desperate for an answer, any answer. Cardin put a finger to his chin until a lightbulb appeared over his head.

"Why don't you bake cookies for them? Once their fight is over, they will be going to the actual festivities," he suggested.

Summer thought about Cardin's suggestion and then smiled.

"Thanks, kid! You're a genius." Summer then rushed out of the Colosseum to bake cookies for her daughters.

As Summer worked in the kitchen, she couldn't help but feel nervous. It had been years since she had seen her daughters, and she wasn't sure how they would react to seeing her again. But as she mixed the dough and shaped it into perfect little circles, she found herself feeling hopeful. Maybe this was her chance to make amends, to bridge the gap that had formed between them.

When the cookies were finally done, Summer carefully packed them into a small box and made her way back to the arena. As she waited for her daughters to finish their match, her heart raced with anticipation. She couldn't wait to see them again, to hold them in her arms and tell them how proud she was of them.

Finally, the match was over, and Summer spotted Yang, Ruby, and her friends conversing at a noodle stand.

"I'm full..." Nora said contently.

"I can't eat anymore..." Their blonde leader blurted out.

"Yum... SO WHAT'S FOR DESSERT?" The energetic scythe-wielding girl shouted.

"I don't think you should eat anymore," Blake warned her team leader.

"C'mon... I can take it," Ruby said enthusiastically.

"I know but..." Blake paused as she saw a mysterious woman approaching them while holding a box.

"What's the matt-" Yang grew silent as she saw a familiar figure approaching them. The rest of their group turned in the direction Yang and Blake were looking.

As she drew closer, she could see the surprise and confusion on their faces. It had been so long since they had seen her, and she knew that they had a lot of questions.

"Hi, girls," Summer said softly, holding out the box of cookies. "I made these for you. I hope you like them."

Ruby and Yang looked at each other, then back at their mother. For a moment, there was silence, and then Ruby rushed forward and wrapped her arms around Summer in a tight embrace.

"Mom... Is it really you...?," Ruby asked, her voice choked with emotion.

Summer hugged her daughter back, tears streaming down her face. At that moment, she knew that she had made the right decision. She might not be able to be there for her daughters all the time, but she could still show them that she loved them and was proud of them. And maybe, just maybe, she could find a way to balance her duty as an agent with her duty as a mother.

...

(Sorry I had to cut this short. I am really busy with school work so I thought I'd finish this by the end of the day. I hope you keep on supporting me and don't forget to leave a vote.)
