It's been about 18 years since the fall of the Jedi Order and the republic. Y/N still hangs out in the bars, visits padme once a year or so and goes out for illegal stuff with Han and Chewie. Overall, life is good.

Well, aside from the fact that the two of them have had to take on fake identities and scrounge up a living, all while trying to not get captured by the Empire. So yeah, other than that, life is good.

In Obi-Wan's hut, he and Y/N are meditating, almost as if they were talking with someone not there.

Inside of the living force, that is exactly what is happening. A Y/N that still looks almost the same, naught for a few more gray streaks in his hair, and an elderly looking, white haired Obi-Wan stand speaking with someone who is long gone.

Y/N: But master Qui-Gon, how do we truly learn the ways to become one with the force?

Qui-Gon: I cannot truly tell you the path to get there my friend. That is something you'll have to figure out yourself.

Obi-Wan: But Master Qui-Gon, Master Yoda told us you would be able to help us once we learned to communicate with you. Was this a farce?

Qui-Gon: I wouldn't say that my friend. Merely it was not the full truth. Yoda didn't communicate properly I guess.

Y/N: Clearly not. Is there anything else that you wish to tell us Master Qui-Gon?

Qui-Gon: There is nothing I can think of at the moment Y/N. I must take my leave. You both take care now alright? I don't want to see either of you in here with me any time soon.

The two living jedi nod at the remark and are launched back into the world. Y/N opens his eyes with a start and looks over at the haggard looking, exhausted Obi-Wan. He stands up and grabs him a glass of water as Kenobi violently coughs.

The older he gets the more that using the force takes out of him. He's gotten to a point where he looks almost 30 years older than he is now. He's about 50 years old at this point, and looks 80 something.

Y/N has asked him why he looks so old but he never answered. Y/N just didn't give up.

Y/N: Obi-Wan seriously man. Why have you aged so poorly?

Obi-Wan: Fine. I'll tell you, if it'll get you off my back.

Y/N: Finally!

Obi-Wan: Ok Ok Y/N. Calm down my friend. The reason I've aged so horribly is because I've been tremendously stressed out.

Y/N: That's it?!?

Obi-Wan: No that's not it. Let me finish. You never let me finish. Even after all of these years you always have to cut me off.

Y/N: My bad Obi. Continue.

Obi-Wan: The reason I look so old is because I've been constantly stressed to my limits. There's also the large-scale protection seal I have placed on Tatooine. It drains so much of my energy and it makes me age at an accelerated pace. I do it to make sure Vader never finds Luke.

Y/N: That makes sense I guess.

Obi-Wan: It has to make sense. It's the truth.

Y/N: Not necessarily Obi. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Obi-Wan: I do not care. In any case, let me ask you a question. Why do you look so young?

Y/N: Obi-Wan Kenobi, if I knew I would tell you. I don't understand it myself. I hate it. It's terrible.

Y/N groans as he gets up to leave and Obi-Wan looks at him curiously.

Obi-Wan: And where might you be going at the moment?
