(Flashback of Zai and Collette many years ago)

NAKATINGIN ako sa lalaking ngayo'y pinakilala ni Mommy. World is big, yeah, kaya nga madami ang mga tao, eh. But why did it seems to be suddenly small?

Napalunok ako sa kaba habang nakatingin sa magkahawak nilang kamay. May engage ring pa, wow. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit dahil do'n ay may kung anong kumirot sa puso ko.

Damn it! He's just a past, a past that currently in my present, aughr! Can't i just be alive without him in my life? Seriously, hinding hindi ako magkakaanak sa lalaking ito, talaga. Kaya kapatid na lang, ganon?

“Mom?” kuryusadong tanong ko pa kay Mommy.

She smiled at me.

“Well, he's Collette, baby. He's my new husband, he's your stepfather. His dad..Mister Bedevilion Colin Juiscard Del Echavierra, arranged marriage us. And, i'm thinking, maybe we could make this marriage work.”

Naasiwa akong nag-iwas ng tingin, it's twenty twenty, tapos may arranged marriage pa? Wow, naman. Siyaka ako pekeng umubo at pekeng ngumiti. Damn it! I can't forced any smile! Kainis.

“So? What's so important for it for you to call me, mommy? You know that i'm busy, right? I just graduated from college and i'm just starting on my works. My schedules are so tight, that i can't even hang out with my friends.” i explained and complain at the same time. Aish!

This is what i hated the most, wasting time, kung ako kasi ang tatanungin, for me, time is gold! Mas mahal pa iyon keysa kung ano pang bagay. Aanhin ko ang pera kung huli na? Like, example, may pambili nga ako ng chanel bag, pero aanhin ko iyon kung naunahan na akong bilhin iyon? Duh. Ganon ang meaning ko, gets? Yeah.

“Well, today, we will be moving in Del Echavierra's house.” Mommy announced.

Lalong hindi maipinta ang mukha ko, Da Vinci who? The fuck? Ex ko iyan, oh? Tapos stepfather ko pa? Wow naman talaga. Tapos lilipat na kami NGAYON sa kanila? Ay, ang galing! Galing naman, lintek, aughr!

“Ikaw na lang ho ang lumipat, i can stay alive alone. Kaya ko na ho ang sarili ko. So, that's all? If that's all, mauuna na ho ako.” sunod-sunod kong sagot kay Mommy at sa husband niya. Husband my ass! Tse! Magsama sila.

Mom sighed.

“Baby, you're my daughter. Only daughter, i just want to protect you from any harms at all cost.” pakiusap pa ng nanay ko.

I rolled my eyes and aip to the milk tea, oh great.

“Mom, so what? I still can't even recall what's my memories years ago. Only a few memories with some people i can't recall who are i can remember.”

Mom look at me, eyes to eyes. She let a heavy sigh out. Bumitaw siya sa pagkakahawak sa kamay ng husband niya at hinawakan ang mga kamay ko. For some reason, gusto kong ilayo ang mga kamay ko. I don't know why. Feel ko kasi pipilitin niya ako, and i hated it when people forced me to do things, like, duh?

“And that is also an enough reason for me to be worried about you.” panimula ni Mommy.

Walang saya na tumingin ako sa ibang direksyon, ang kintab pala ng tiles dito? I saw some of Collette's friends around, peeking on us. Then, magbubulungan sila at siyaka magtatawanan. Inaasar atah ang kaibigan nila. I don't know what and why but I seemed to know them too  before other than them being my ex's friends.
