[Jade's POV] (2014 SiTC)

I grinned at the attendance count for SiTC this year. The Marketing team did a great job this year. After months of working non-stop (My flatmates had no idea I quit my job as a lawyer and began working as the legal consultant for SiTC) [I have no idea if that position existed] the event is finally turning into a reality and it was even bigger and better than last year!

I spotted Dan, Phil and Cat entering the venue "Be right back. If you need me I'm on my phone!" The event manager looked at the list of activities to be done today "You'll be on Dan and Phil's panel tomorrow to supervise from the backstage. Other than that, you're free for the rest of the event" "Thanks Delia!"

I discreetly left the restricted area so I wont get caught by anyone. Cant risk letting Phil know I work for them now "Watch where you're going!" A feminine voice shouted at me. I looked up to see its none other than Catherine Valdes. Ugh I hate her and how she clings herself to my cousin and my bestfriend "Oh sorry Valdes I didn't see you coming" "As if you saw me and did it on purpose" she sarcastically replied. I glared at her and her stupid ability to charm people. Who does she think she is "Wow really Cat huh? Where do you expect me to be? Law office working my ass off for people who cared more about saving their faces and forcing me to defend them?" I spat at her. Cat just smirked and took her phone out "The wonders I can do with this phone. I know why you're in the restricted area Lester. Only employees are allowed there. And I'm certain you are part of the team"

I whacked her phone off her hand and made a run for the back door. Sorry Mr. Phone but Atty. Lester is on the run "HEY THAT PHONE WAS EXPENSIVE!" She shouted while I ran for my dear life "YOU'RE NEVER GETTING AWAY FROM IT LESTER! MARK MY WORDS!" My blood ran cold as I stopped in front of the back door. What the fuck am I going to do?! Call my old boss and beg her to tell Phil if he calls I was at work buried deep in a case I handed over to someone else?! I could try but Chief already retired. What am I going to do?! "Cat got your tongue huh? Scared that Philly will find out and tell your mummy and daddy you quit being a lawyer? Poor little Jadelyn. What are you doing about it?" "ENOUGH!" I shouted and lunged at her, pinning her against the wall. Wow Jade well done a midget pinning a much taller woman. "Catherine Valdes I thought you were nicer than that. I'm sick of your stupid little act and one more time you tell me about my parents I'm personally suing you and making sure you lose your damned case!" Cat had a smirk on her face "Oh do you have an idea the boys are worried what's taking me so long? They'll come here and see what are you up to" "Enough bitch. Of course you can blackmail me but I'm smarter than you think" I let her go and went back to the door, showing the guard my pass

"James" "Yes Miss?" I looked back at Cat who had a smug grin on her face "Watch over Valdes. I can have you fired if you dont report to me what she does. Understood?" I whispered, hoping Cat didn't hear "Understood ma'am"

I huffed and took a shortcut back to the hotel, the one where the team is staying at and spotted Louise. Oh shoot why am I wearing casual clothes damn you SiTC team "JAY!" She called out, waving me to come over. Why did I forget this is where Louise would be staying?! And the others too?! My life sucks "Oh hey Louise! What are you up to?" "SiTC! Didn't Dan and Phil tell you that?" Like they would let me come and be trampled by angry phangirls for being a lucky girl. No thanks "Another thing, why do you have an ID?" SHIT "My boss was asked if they have anyone who can help them with legal stuffs so she automatically picked me" I lied. Way to go girl if the boss finds out I'm royally screwed and fucked with a katakana "I see. Why are you out? Are you supposed to be inside?" Help me oh Lord "I was being called back to the hotel.
