Two days have passed since Beomgyu's visit to the castle and everyone was wondering who was the handsome man that the king himself brought to his chambers. Workers speculate it was the king's secret lover while some thought it was a thief.

Taehyun himself didn't say anything about it since he also doesn't know what to call this Choi Beomgyu. He is his husband but not on paper with only a ring as proof. He's also not his friend or close acquaintance of his to say the least. Choi Beomgyu is just as mysterious as his feelings towards the man. An unknown variable in his strategic life.

For now, Taehyun only told everyone that it was a new friend he made from another land. The two were pen pals, he claimed. Two days ago, apparently this friend of his decided to visit him unknowingly to Taehyun as a surprise. Or so that was what Taehyun said.

The workers could never doubt their king's words but somehow they couldn't help but to feel off with the story. Although, the workers just nodded it off, they still couldn't help but to shake off the feeling that there's something going on between this friendship of theirs. Especially when the maids help dressed Taehyun the night after Beomgyu's visit where they found love bites around the young king's collarbone. It's even more suspicious how Beomgyu just went off to disappear into the night without any of the knights spotted him leaving the room.

No, they are not judging or mad about their king having a secret love affair. In fact they were delighted. Who knew the little cold prince who never showed interest in anything finally got himself someone he can fully care for and the whole castle overjoyed about it.

Of course, they celebrated silently or else Taehyun would have noticed. After the visit, you could say everyone in the castle immediately became a huge fan of their relationship. They want to see more.

And that's where Soobin came in. The man himself was skeptical about this unknown man that has suddenly become pen pal with Taehyun when he himself never usually writes letters unless it's business. He doesn't recall Taehyun writing any sort of letter or messages the past few days. Was Taehyun hiding this secret friendship of his from him on purpose? Or is there more to it?

Just like everyone in the castle, he's curious about Taehyun's real relationship. Not that he's jealous of Taehyun having a new friend, or that he has, rumoured secret lover, he's just curious why he out of all people never knew anything about the existence of this Choi Ben.

Yes, Choi Ben. The name we all called him by since Taehyun told us that was his name. With all these rumours spreading, it became impossible to even believe if that was his real name at all. But since it's the only information we got from Taehyun who refused to talk more about this friend of his other than his name and that we know his face. Today, however, Soobin decided to slowly get more information about Choi Ben from Taehyun without sounding suspicious.

Soobin found himself in front of two familiar brown doors that led to the young king's work room. He sighed for a second. Let's hope I don't make too much of an obvious fool. He thought before opening the door.

There he met, Taehyun doing his paperwork by his desk. The young king looked up to the door to see who entered only to look back down after seeing who it was without uttering a word.

He continued his scribbles on the paper in front of him while Soobin made his way to his front desk with another stacks of paper that needed to be filled by the end of the day. He placed them neatly down on the table next to the piles of stacks of paper on the table as he clears his throat.
