Katherine's Perspective-

Katherine woke up the next morning aching and grumpy.

She had spent most of the night fighting as more monsters came to Glimmer Grove.

And today she was helping build a new shop in the town.

Katherine got dressed and put her hair up in a ponytail before walking out and starting to build.

"Wow!" She heard someone say breathlessly.

"Yeah!" Katherine said, wiping some sweat off of her forehead and not turning to see who she was talking to, "Building looks good so far, huh?"

The person then cleared their throat and Katherine turned around.

She was shocked to see that she wasn't talking to the family who requested this building and was instead talking to Pirate Joe.

She jumped down and Joey grabbed her hand and bowed.

"Hello princess; I am Pirate Joe, but you may call me Joey." He said, kissing her hand.

Katherine moved her hand away, "Er- Katherine."

"Is this your town?" Joey asked, looking up at the two-toned castle.

"Yeah." Katherine said, looking up at her castle.

Joey nodded and then looked at the half-built building.

"Do you need any help, princess?" Joey asked.

Katherine wrinkled up her nose when hearing the pet name.

But she plastered on a smile as she turned back around to face Joey.

"I'm good, thanks."

Joey nodded and then gasped.

He ran past Katherine and took out a sword before killing a skeleton.

Once it died, he smiled at Katherine.

"No need to worry, princess, I can protect you."
Katherine's eye twitched, "O-oh thanks."

"You're welcome." Joey bowed, "No need to thanks me."

"And I saw a bunch of boats at the docks, I assume those are yours?" Joey asked.

"Uh- yeah! Sometimes I sail." Katherine said, gesturing to the lanterns, "I hung those up a little while ago."

Joey gasped in awe, "So you're a pirate princess."

"Er- no I'm- "

"You're amazing." Joey said, his face a bit red from blush.

Katherine smiled nervously as they continued talking.

Eventually, their conversation ended as Joey left, freeing Katherine of the pain of their talks.

She finished up the building and helped the family move in.

"Thank you, princess Katherine." The parents said, bowing.

"Oh, it's not a problem! I want you guys to feel safe here."

Katherine then left and started back up to the castle.

She was tired and planned on taking a nice long nap before she had to get up at night to hunt.

But unfortunately, there was a present waiting for her.

Katherine stared at the colorful blocks and items.

Honeycomb, flowers, red stone, lapis, dozens and dozens of items all scattered around her room in a rainbow.

She blinked in disbelief.

She then saw a sign in her room and walked up to it.

'For my pirate princess. Much love, Joey'

Katherine sighed and grabbed her elytra.

She flew off towards Tumble Town, needing to talk to the sheriff about all the stolen goods.

Katherine landed in Tumble Town, and she saw Jimmy and Scott laughing and blushing together.

"JIMMY!" She shouted, out of breath.

"Oh, hey Scott, sorry if I'm interrupting." She took a deep breath and fixed her hair, "It's Pirate Joe. He's been stealing stuff from other empires and giving it to me. I can't stop him."

Scott gasped, "Was that him? He stole the whole field of pink flowers earlier!"

Jimmy looked concerned and said, "Katherine...do you have any evidence?"

Katherine nodded, "My empire. He's flooded my room with items."

Katherine flew off towards her empire, Jimmy following.

"So how's it going with Scott?" Katherine asked as they flew.

Jimmy blushed, "Nothing, we were just- "

"Holding each other and flirting?"

"I- it's nothing like that!"

"Oh, it's totally like that." Katherine smirked.

Jimmy rolled his eyes and they soon landed in Glimmer Grove.

"Everything looks fine." Jimmy said, looking around.

Katherine scoffed, "Sure. Follow me."

She led him upstairs to her room and Jimmy gasped.

"Oh." He said, seeing all the colorful blocks.

"Exactly." Katherine said, walking in.

"I need your help talking to him. He won't listen to me."

Jimmy nodded, "I got this, Katherine. Don't worry."

Katherine sighed in relief, "Thanks Jim."

She then yawned, "I need to get some sleep."

"Yeah, you look exhausted. Everything alright?"

Katherine shook her head as she stretched, "Guess I just don't sleep well."

Jimmy hummed, "Well go get some sleep, I can take it from here."

"Good luck, you'll need it. Just met the guy today but I already hate him."

Jimmy chuckled, "Well this is gonna be fun."

Katherine giggled and kissed Jimmy's cheek (platonically), "Thanks sheriff."

Jimmy tipped his hat, "You can count on me."

He then flew off and Katherine smiled.

Scott's got a good one.
