Shelby's Perspective-
"I have something to tell you." They both said at the same time.
They then froze and laughed.
"Sorry," Katherine said, "You first."
"No, no, you can go." Shelby said.
Katherine narrowed her eyes.
"You sure?" She asked and Shelby nodded, smiling.
"Okay...well..."
Katherine took a deep breath,
"I- I really like you, Shelby."
Shelby's eyes widened as she felt her heart rate pick up.
"I- I don't- "
"Katherine!"
Katherine and Shelby quickly let go of each other's hands as Alice ran out.
"Katherine, we have a problem."
"What is it?" Katherine asked.
"I- here, let me show you."

"Woah." Katherine said.
Alice had led them to the stables where a two-toned horse stood.
While it was unicorn on one side, it was dead looking on the other.
"I- what happened?" Katherine asked, looking at the creature.
She put her hand up to pet it, and it rubbed its head against her hand.
Katherine smiled softly as Alice began to explain.
"Well, Uriel rode in from his night's rounds and he saw it. A unicorn used to be here but now it's like...infected with a curse."
Shelby saw Katherine's smile widen.
"Do you think something's wrong with it?" Alice asked.
"It must be with this kingdom."
Katherine then turned to Shelby, "Would you be willing to help me?"
Shelby nodded, "Yeah. Yeah, anything I can do to make up for earlier."
Katherine smiled and Shelby blushed.
Alice looked between them and then clapped her hands.
"Great! Well, let's see what you can do!"
Shelby smiled nervously and flew back to her empire, determined to help out her crush.
The Next Day-
Shelby flew over to Katherine's house nice and early.
She had brought all of her potion ingredients with her.
It felt kind of awkward since Katherine had confessed to her and Shelby never got the chance to tell Katherine her feelings.
Katherine was waiting at the creature, petting it.
Shelby had landed, but Katherine didn't notice.
Shelby had seen a look on Katherine that she had never seen before.
Shelby walked over to her and smiled.
"Hey Katherine!"
Katherine jumped and smiled.
"Hey Shelby! I didn't expect to see you here so early."
Shelby smiled nervously, pink tinting her face.
"Well, I really wanna help." Shelby said, putting her potion ingredients on the ground.
Katherine looked at all of them.
"You really think these well help?" Katherine asked, picking up a mushroom and looking at it.
Shelby nodded and then looked up.
"Do you have a brewing stand?" She asked.
"Yep! Let me go grab you one."
She then left.
Shelby looked up at the creature and walked up to it.
She stretched out her hand and the creature moved back.
It then sniffed Shelby's hand and rubbed up against it.
"What are you?" Shelby whispered as she pet it.
Her mind began to wander to last night and what Katherine had told her.
"I- I really like you, Shelby."
Shelby bit her lip, wishing that they didn't get interrupted.
What I was going to say...it sounds like I was about to say that I didn't like her back since Alice interrupted me.
"Here's the brewing stand!" Katherine said, poking her head in.
Shelby jumped and then smiled nervously.
"Thanks!"
"You alright?" Katherine asked and Shelby nodded as she took the stand from Katherine, their hands lightly brushing against each other's.
They both blushed and Shelby shook her head, trying to focus on the potion.
Shelby kneeled down and put the stand next to her.
She crushed up some of the ingredients and put them into water bottles.
"What kind of potion are you thinking about making?" Katherine asked, examining the creature.
"I'm not sure...but let's experiment, shall we?"
