Meeting Up

Joey's Perspective-

Joey walked around at Katherine's ball, looking for her.

I must ask her to dance with me. He thought.

But what he saw shocked him.

He saw Katherine take Shelby's hand and walk off.

His eyes widened.

Katherine couldn't like a witch like her, she just couldn't!

"Er- are Shelby and Katherine dating?" Joey asked Sausage, who was talking with fWhip.

"Hm?" Sausage asked, tearing his eyes from his date to look at the pirate.

"Katherine and Shelby. Are they...a thing?"

Sausage gasped, looking excited.

"Oh, are they? I never heard about that!"

"No, I'm asking if they are."

"Oh...then I don't know. It'd be cute though."

Joey shot him a look, and Sausage smiled nervously.

"Mind you we live right next to each other. I could send my fleet and destroy Sanctuary in a second." Joey snarled.

"I mean, you and Katherine definitely seem like the better pair!" Sausage quickly said and Joey nodded.

"Exactly." Joey said coldly.

"Well, you could always ask Shelby." Sausage suggested.

Joey hummed.

"We'll battle." He then said.

Sausage's eyes widened and the excited look returned.

"My people love arena battles! I must make an arena for you two to battle in."

"Yes, do that." Joey said, "And I will talk to her later about setting a date and time. Then we will fight. Fight for Katherine's love."

Joey strode out.

The Next Day-

Joey folded his arms as he watched Shelby fly down to his empire.

Shelby smiled nervously as Joey walked up to her.

"Hey Joey! What'd you need me for?" Shelby asked cheerfully.

Joey narrowed his eyes.

"What's going on between you and Katherine?" He asked.

Shelby blinked; she was clearly not expecting that.

"Er- what do you mean?"

"Don't think I didn't see you." Joey said, "You and her sneaking off at her ball. That was supposed to be my night with her. That was supposed to be our dance."

"Oh...sorry."

Joey scoffed, "You're sorry. Well, it's too late."

He walked up to her and pointed sharply towards Sanctuary.

"Sausage is building an arena right now. You, me, fight there tomorrow at noon. You hear me?!"

"What are we fighting for?"

"Katherine's love."

"Er- don't you think that's a bad id- "

"You wanna forfeit? That'd make things a lot easier for me." Joey said, smiling sickly.

Shelby's eye narrowed.

"Fine." She spat, "I'll be there."

"Good. And remember, we're not putting on a nice show for people."

"Noted."

"Good luck; you'll need it. Especially since you can't even do real magic." Joey said, laughing sickly as he turned around and walked back into his home.
