MEETING HIM

Part 36

Hey lovelies! This is one of my favorite chapter till now. Btw I had to divide it into two parts as it was long.
But its still long 😄

And then unable to control myself, I went ahead and asked him the question that was messing with my head since that fight, 
"Who are you, Arnav? Apart from your business, what do you actually do?"
The silence surrounded us. His face became hard and eyes expressionless. 

"Why do you…  " 
We were interrupted by the opening of the door. One of his security men came, " Boss, The Sir  is here."

Immediately he got up. An old man around his 70s walked inside the main door. 

" Arnou, my dear, how are you?" 
He hugged him.
"I'm fine Pappy, just minor injuries."
To his reply, I raised my eyebrow. 

Minor, Huh! 

"That's my brave boy! I heard it was a tough battle, that bastard attacked out of the blue." 
Arnav cutted him off, " leave all this talk Pappy, All's well that ends well. Come please."

They went to the living room. 

"Khushi" Arnav called me . I went there and he immediately brought me beside him holding my waist. 
"Pappy, this is Khushi. The one I told you about." I was feeling awkward with his hold still on my waist.

" Indeed you are beautiful! I'm indebted to you for saving my son."
He got up, "Like a true partner, you stood by him through that hard night. I'm proud that he has chosen the right woman for him." 

He called Arnav his son. Does that mean father? I looked at his face to find the similarity.
And his last two statements gave me deep thoughts. They made me question my previous decision. 

Arnav pinched me a little.
"Thank you!" I smiled at Pappy.
"By the way Khushi, won't you take blessings from your soon to be father in law. Did you forget your Indian roots?" Said Arnav in a serious tone, pinching my waist harder this time.

Why is he pinching me?! And soon to be father in law!!!! 

Do I want that, after what I saw and understood in the last 3 days?!

I looked at him; he was staring at me in a hard gaze and indicated with his eyes to do it.
I decided to play along.
Will talk to him later about this!

"Yea..h!" I bent and took his blessings. 
"Always be happy!" Said Pappy

" Haben Sie den Maulwurf in unserem Unternehmen gefunden?"He asked turning to Arnav

I wondered which language he was speaking in. 

"Khushi, will you please go and wait in your room? I'll meet you there." Said Arnav. 

Oh! That's just a polite way of kicking me out of the living room and having privacy. 

I nodded and left

Within a few seconds, Maid came with the food plate and bowl, " Mam, Sir asked you to finish your leftover breakfast. And here is your mobile, sir has sent it."

I told her to place them on the table. 

My appetite was long gone from the recent turn of events.
Who is this Pappy and if he's Arnav's father then who is his mother? And why did Arnav say my future father in-law?
