Sienna was about to bust. By her count, she was only a few days from bringing a baby into the world. Damien went to the store two days ago and had not returned. Where was he? She was frantic. She had just about decided to tell Damien she was going to catch a bus home when he came home from the store and announced:
It's all clear at home. It's time for us to go back. The best news - I have rented us a place to stay. A little house, outside town. You know it, the old Miller place.
Sienna was happy about the house, it was near her mom's. She could get ready for the baby and do the nesting thing her baby book told her about. Damien packed all her new baby things, and Sienna packed her folding serrated hunting knife, and they headed home to Mount Airy.
