Yosuke's POV:

"...What's up with you...?" I mumble.

Yu's been staring at me since he rejoined the group with Kanji at his side. Is this some sort of inside joke they have together?

"Nothing," he smiles.

"Anyways," Chie sighs. "Let's head back."

"I'm with you," I nod. "I'm starting to feel drowsy."

"Want me to walk you home?"

I raise my head to see the owner of the voice. It's... Yu?

"I-ignore him," Kanji laughs nervously.

"Why?" I frown. "Sure, Yu. Walk me back, will you?"

No fucking way did he agree. Hoooly shit.

"...So," he clears his throat after a moment, turning his head to the side to look at me. "Chie or Yukiko?"

"Hm?" I completely snap out of my fantasy world.

"Who'd you rather date," he scoffs, like it's obvious. "I mean, you're not into Rise, right? You told me yourself."

It almost sounds like there's a question in his final words.

"No, I'm not," I confirm.

"So, who?" He grins. "Chie or Yukiko?"

I bite my lip, just wishing he'd take the hint.

Wait... hold up... Is this a test?

Is he testing the waters to see who I'm attracted to? Ah, very smooth, partner...

"Neither."

"Wha-!? Neither!?" He splutters.

I shrug with a smile.

"Well... I kinda get that."

"You do?" My ears perk up.

"I mean, you saw their ugly sides first off, right? Guess it's the first impression that sticks, huh?"

"...Maybe."

"Any other girl you're thinking of?"

"Nah," I say. "Not interested."

"Not interested in dating...?" He laughs shallowly. "And here I was, thinking you were a heartbreaker."

"Not intentionally," I shrug. "I would never want to hurt those who mean a lot to me."

"Hm."

"Then again... I guess you could say I'm waiting on someone." I look at him with a small smile.

"F-for real?" He asks.

"Mhm," I nod.

"Is she, uh... with someone else right now...?"

"It's complicated."

"...Do I know her?"

"You might."

"...Who?"

"You're awfully interested, aren't you?" I smirk.

"Y-You're my best friend, man! I'm gonna be happy for you," he sighs. "I'm just... glad, I guess."

"...Glad?"

"You know. That Kanji didn't try to... change you."
