>Amber's POV<

I woke up early today. Tara earlier apparently.

I could smell the scent of waffles and bacon all the way upstairs, and it smelled exactly like Tara's cooking.

I threw on some black sweat pants and a black tank & I had just taken a shower, so my curls were still a little damp.

There was movement behind my room door before it opened. Tara stepped in wearing her little pink dress and some flats and her hair in her usual style.

"Hey, curly fries. Do you wanna come eat breakfast?" She asked.

"No, baby, I'm fine." I said as I laid back on the bed.

"You need to eat." She suggested.

I should've known she wouldn't take no for an answer.

"You feeling alright?" She pressed.

"Yes, I'm fine, just tired still." I said.

"I'll bring your food up here." She said.

Before I could protest, she was already on her way downstairs.

I sat up on the bed and looked at my TV stand. The first thing I noticed was that my controller for my Xbox was gone.

"Where the fu.." I thought out loud before looking around.

"The waffles got cold quick, so Sam is re warming them." Tara said, coming back in.

I was rummaging through my game box distracted.

"What are you looking for?" She said.

"My controller." I said, looking under the bed now.

"It's probably somewhere in the room, or maybe Chad took it on accident the last time you two played." She explained.

I got up and opened our closet, looking in there on the floor.

"Hey, it's ok, we'll buy another one." Tara said behind me.

"Wait a minute." I said with my head in the closet.

"What?" Tara replied.

"What's this?" I asked, pulling a box out of the closet.

"Omg, Sam brought it." She replied, taking the box from me and placing it on the bed.

I got up off of the floor, forgetting my controller, all too curious about the box.

"You mind telling me what it is?" I pointed.

"When we brought scooby up here, Sam managed to get my memory box shipped up here." Tara replied.

"Memory box?" I said, standing next to her.

"Yeah, a whole bunch of pictures." Tara said before opening it.

I picked up the first picture I saw.

"Is this you and Sam?" I said.

"Yep, I was 2, and she was 7." Tara said.

It was a cute picture. Sam was on a couch, smiling with missing front teeth and holding a sleeping baby Tara on her lap.

"You guys were adorable little kids." I said.

"Thank youuu." Tara said, blushing.

She smiled, picked up a picture, and showed me.

"Wow, you and Chad. 3rd grade?" I said.

"Yep, that was the day I skinned my knee at recess. He begged the teacher to sit in the nurses office and comfort me." Tara explained.

"He's always been that protective." I said.

"Wouldn't be surprised if he punched the first doctor who tried to hold Mindy the second they were born." Tara said.

"Newborn Chad sucker punch." I joked.

Tara giggled to herself.

"Omg, look." I said.

"What?" Tara asked excitedly.

"It's a kindergarten picture of me and you." I said.

Tara looked over eagerly.

We were 5 in the picture. It was field day at school, and we wore matching spongebob shirts and jean shorts. Tara was still a bit shorter. We were hugging each other as I kissed her cheek with my eyes squinted looking at the camera.

"We were babies." Tara said softly.

"And I still had rizz." I said, pointing at the cheek kiss.

She shook her head, laughing.

"I can't believe it's been that long, seriously." She smiled at me.

"Childhood best friends to lovas." I said hip, bumping her.

"Great 'how we met' story for our kid." Tara said.

"Kid?" I questioned.

"We've been over this, I want to adopt a baby after we're married a while." She demanded playfully.

"No baby boy though." I said cocking an eyebrow.

"Oh no, I want a girl." Tara smiled, looking down at more pictures.

"I'll think about it." I said.

She laughed as we put the box on the floor and spent the rest of the morning looking at more memories.
