Umi had woken up from her long needed nap, her eyes wandering off after realizing she was in the living room sleeping on her father's leg.
It was still day, yet she felt as if she slept all the way until sun down. Jaemin was still a sleep, his blanket covering his entire body as Umi slowly sat up and checked the time. It was only noon. She wasn't hungry so she got up from the couch, attempting to not make any noise.
Her eyes landed on the door of her mother's studio. There was a week left until the deadline and somehow she had to find her mother's music sheets before it ended. Umi walked towards the room, opening the door and feeling the crisp air hit her skin.
She couldn't understand when her mother said that her music sheets were in her heart. How can something ever fit inside of there? Umi sighed, looking around once again as she glanced over to the safe that was under the desk, she was yet again left wondering where the key to it was.
She searched through the drawers that could be opened, yet nothing but photos and pens were in it. It started to make her think that the music sheets were actually not even there in the first place, but where else could they be?
Umi sat on the chair, picking up the heart-shaped picture frame and keeping her eyes on the photo inside it. Oh how she wished she could go back in time and stop her mother from leaving the house on her birthday. All Umi wanted was her and her parents wishing her a happy birthday together, only for her to receive a hospital visit instead.
She placed the picture frame back down, wanting to give up until her phone rang. She quickly read the contact name, wondering as to why he was calling her. "Hello..?" she mumbled, still tired as she had just woken up. "Oh my god I didn't think you would actually answer— anyways i'm glad your safe." he said, sighing deeply.
"Oh..thank you..?" Umi didn't know how to respond. "It's okay. I was calling you because I wanted..to give you permission to use my song." Haechan said, hearing her go quiet. "Are you sure? You wouldn't mind?" Umi spoke in shock.
"I'll give you credits and everything—"
"No. No. Umi, it's fine. No credits are needed, trust me. I'm more than happy to let you use it as your own."
