Prologue

Is it ever too late to leave the friend-zone?

Hi, my name is Bree Camden, and I’m hopelessly in love with my best friend and star quarterback Nathan Donelson (so is half of America, judging by the tabloids and how much the guy dates). The first step is admitting, right? Except, I can never admit it to him because he clearly doesn’t see me that way, and the last thing I want is for things to get weird between us.

Nothing but good old-fashioned, no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive, platonic friendship for us! Everything is exactly how I like it! Yes. Good. (I’m not crying, I’m just peeling an onion.)

Our friendship is going swimmingly until I accidentally spill my beans to a reporter over too much tequila, and now the world seems to think me and Nathan belong together. Oh, and did I mention we have to date publicly for three weeks until after the Super Bowl because we signed a contract with...oops, forgot I can’t tell anyone about that!

Bottom line is, now my best friend is smudging all the lines and acting very un-platonic, and I’m just trying to keep my body from bursting into flames every time he touches me.

How am I going to make it through three weeks of fake dating Nathan without anything changing between us? Especially when it almost-sort-a-kinda seems like he’s fighting for a completely different outcome?

Send help.
XO Bree

Review

This book was a breath of fresh air and literally it was.

I neglected this book five times atleast because the cheat sheet rhymed with cheat list(if you know, you know) and the first reason I didn't like it.

Next was the prologue from best friends to lovers but the lovers included typical characters which no sane person would want to read after reading similar plots for the nth time.

Also the term "quarterback" for me was equal to a "jock"

But nooooo the author did something with the book which I didn't expect.

She made it sweet and realistic even if fake dating doesn't count in reality between friends. Still the characters made sense, their banter wasn't childish and looked like actual adult in their mid 20s

Still the whole plot was so sweet and Nathan was such a diamond that I fell in love with the book.

And completed seven chs in one go which wasn't good because it costed me to learn my syllabus till 2:00 pm for the exam which was next day😭😭 greed is a sin.

Although I came to this book only after giving a chance to the It happened in Nashville series.

And the plot was so good and sweet of that series although the characters were bit childish.

Still because of it I gave the third book of the author a try.

And it was worth it..

Not sugarcoating but if you're into guys like Nathan who are  angels and not dark romance ahem..heroes and d¶cks then do give it a tryyyy
