IVAINE POV

The next few days I'd wake up a little earlier than everyone else for the peace and quiet. Figured I could get a head start on assignments. Almost finished tweaking the curriculum and trips planning for this school year. I delved deep into the creation of my curriculum for the Magical Beasts class. Hours were spent poring over ancient tomes. I also add my own experiences delving into the hidden realms where fantastical creatures dwelled. With meticulous care, I had observed their behaviors, sketched their forms, and noted their extraordinary abilities.

Each creature became a chapter in my curriculum, a window into a world of wonder. I carefully crafted thematic units, weaving together lessons on habitat, adaptations, and magical properties. I sought guidance from renowned experts, exchanging knowledge and discovering new insights.

My classroom transformed into a sanctuary of learning, adorned with illustrations and artifacts that brought the magical creatures to life. Interactive activities and hands-on experiments were designed to engage the students, hopefully igniting their curiosity and kindling a deep appreciation for these extraordinary beings.

Whenever Ominis and Sebastian crossed paths, I instinctively casted a Disillusionment Charm, fading into the background. After the whirlwind of events that had unfolded in the past few days, I was hopelessly bewildered and not in the mood for engaging with anyone. I yearned for guidance, and Poppy's absence only added to my confusion. She was always my voice of reason in matters like these.

Feeling frustrated and in need of a break, I stepped away from my preparations. It was a relief to be done with the tasks at hand. Just then, a Nymphin appeared at my window, its vibrant colors catching my attention.

"Well, what brings you here, my lovely?" I cooed, gently petting the creature's head. In return, it presented me with an iridescent pink pearl.

The Nymphin was a small, enchanting creature with feathers that shimmered in shades of azure and turquoise, reminiscent of the vast ocean and the boundless sky. It possessed the remarkable ability to navigate both air and water, thanks to its specialized wings and webbed feet. Despite its size, it could carry substantial loads, making it an ideal messenger between underwater realms and places like Hogwarts.

Messages from the underwater realm could be encoded into the pearl, which would then be delivered by the Nymphin.

Whispering the incantation "Aperio Nuntis," I watched as the pearl illuminated and sparkled, projecting a hologram of my mother.

"Yvaine, it has only been a week, and I couldn't resist sending a message. I hope everything is going well and that you are learning a great deal. Alaric sends his warm regards as well. If you ever need anything, remember I am only a wave away," she said with a bright smile.

Feeling inspired by the connection, I made the decision to send a message back, seeking guidance in the midst of the complicated situation involving Ominis and Sebastian. As an immortal being of ancient lineage, love and romantic relationships had always been an enigma to me. Our realm was driven by reason, and some might argue that it stood above the complexities of love.

Lost in my thoughts, I found myself absentmindedly making my way towards the secluded cave for a late-night swim. I chose to go at an even later hour, ensuring that Sebastian's relentless investigations would not disturb my solitude. His amusing attempts often left me wondering if he might accidentally find himself drowning, only to be rescued by Cephy.

With a flick of my wand, I banished my clothes, revealing my transformed self, ready to embrace the cool, comforting embrace of the lake. With a graceful dive, I submerged into the crystalline depths of the lake, the water caressing my skin like a gentle lover's touch. The moonlight filtered through the surface, casting an ethereal glow that illuminated the underwater realm. As I glided through the water, my body effortlessly cut through the currents, each stroke a symphony of fluid grace.
