Ominis POV

I struck Sebastian with a well-aimed blow, a release of the tension that had simmered between us for too long. His nose erupted in a gush of blood as the impact sent him sprawling backward. The sounds of our struggle, the faint scent of blood in the air, and the subtle shifts in the ambient magic guided my actions.

"Expelliarmus!" I incanted, my wand slicing the air, forcefully disarming Sebastian. His wand spiraled through the chaotic fray, leaving him defenseless.

Seizing the opportunity, I summoned the wand to my hand with a quick "Accio," while the other hand remained tightly gripped around the shrunken Orb I had stolen back from Yvaine.

I had recovered the Orb back from her without her noticing to continue the charade with my family. I would rather they capture the Orb and Sebastian rather than have their hands on Yvaine.

My family arrived, the fighting still occurring in the background against he Aurors.

Tobias's impatience was evident as he inquired, "We need to leave immediately. Morgana requires the Orb to initiate the activation, and the Aurors have apprehended Arabella for questioning. Where's the girl?"

With a touch of annoyance, I replied, "She escaped," spitting out a mouthful of blood in the process.

"By Merlin, Ominis, you had one simple job," Tobias exclaimed in frustration.

I insisted, "Calm down," before hauling Sebastian to his feet. "I have the next best thing. Imagine what a witch in love would do for her beloved." I added a sly edge to my tone.

"Well, well, Ominis, I didn't think you had it in you," Silas remarked as he approached. "Perhaps you are a Gaunt after all."

"We won't need to find her. She'll come to us," I said ironically, tossing the Orb to my father. "And we still have the Orb."

My family continued their discussion, their sinister plans for the Orb unfurling with each word. They made it clear that Morgana was the linchpin to unlock the Orb's immense power for their dark purposes. In return, they intended to capture Yvaine, delivering her into Morgana's vengeful hands. It was becoming increasingly apparent that Morgana held a seething grudge against Yvaine's family, likely stemming from the betrayal her mother had alluded to during our time in The Realm.

I couldn't help but speculate on Morgana's ultimate designs. Was she plotting to manipulate Yvaine, using her as a pawn to control The Realm and exact a devastating vendetta against her mother? Perhaps the Orb held some dark enchantment capable of bending Yvaine's will to Morgana's desires.

The puzzle pieces were falling into place, revealing a grim tableau of treachery and vengeance.

My doubts about the longevity of the alliance between Morgana and my family deepened. One side or the other would inevitably steal the Orb for themselves, seeking to extend their dominion over the other's realm. The looming specter of destruction, poised to engulf both The Realm and the Wizarding world, weighed heavily on my conscience. The cost of our ambitions was too much to think about.

We successfully evaded the Aurors and made our way toward the coast following Morgana's instructions. When we finally encountered her, it was evident that her powers were nearly restored. The Queen explained that she had been isolated in the Leviathan domain, a place known for its cruelty, isolation, and deadliness. The woman who now stood before us exuded power and possessed an intimidating presence that left us feeling uneasy and on edge.

Her long, ice-blonde hair framed a figure that stood at 5'7 feet tall from what Arabella had described before. I could sense the aura of authority and strength that emanated from her. The sound of her voice, though calm, carried an undercurrent of power and command.

Yvaine had mentioned that she had once been exceptionally beautiful, as most mermaids are, but her time in the Leviathan domain had left her physically, spiritually, and mentally contorted.

"We haven't had the pleasure of meeting, young man," she finally addressed me directly.

"Yes, my lady," I replied respectfully. "It was an oversight I was eager to rectify, especially considering what my family has told me. It appears that you alone hold the key to bringing us closer to our goal of pure-blood supremacy." I accepted her offered hand and pressed my lips to her knuckles, a gesture of respect.

"We indeed share a common enemy," she acknowledged. "As long as our interests remain aligned, you shall have my assistance."

My father presented her with the Orb and incanted the spell, "Finite Incantatem," which promptly restored it to its original size.

"You've done well, Silas," she said, sounding rather pleased. "Where is the girl?"

"She escaped..." Tobias answered reluctantly.

"What," she said icily.

"She will come to us," I stated firmly, pushing Sebastian in front of us. He landed on his knees, having endured a severe beating to ensure his compliance.

She knelt in front of him, grabbing his face and turning it towards her with a smile. "Hmmm... this is the human who will lead her to doom."

She playfully slapped his cheek a few times, taunting him. "Very well. We must be on our way now. I have to make some preparations for her and the ceremony. Drink this." She handed us a modified Gillyweed that would last longer, possibly up to a week, as per her estimations. I eyed it warily.

"It won't kill you, boy. I tested it on someone else already. Before you use it, send word to the princess about her beloved. Tell her that if she doesn't come to the Leviathan domain by nightfall tomorrow, we will kill him and send her his bloodied remains or feed him to one of my pets... I haven't decided yet," she said with an evil and cold smile.

I began to write the letter hating to hurt Yvaine in anyway shape or form. But I must, in order to continue this charade,

"Princess,

You've forsaken me, yet it seems fate is bringing you back to me. Arrive to the Leviathan Domain by the morrow's nightfall, or I shall derive sinister delight from Sebastian's death. Come alone.  Any interference will swiftly seal his fate. Your betrayal has awoken the darkness within me, and perchance it was destined for Sebastian to fall within my grasp. Will you save his life? Your assistance in my rekindling with the dark arts and reunion with my family is duly acknowledged.
