The next day I immersed myself in my studies in the Room of Requirement. Lost in my books and notes, time seemed to slip away until the evening sun painted the sky with hues of orange and pink. When I finally emerged from my study haven, I unexpectedly ran into Sebastian.

"There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you." He took my hand and swiftly led me away. "I've found the perfect opportunity for you to practice more dancing."

"Wait—" I attempted but just gave in.

Intrigued, I followed him as we descended further down the stairs, approaching the hallways near the Slytherin common room.

"I stumbled upon this yesterday, but only realized that it comes 'alive' at night." Sebastian's eyes twinkled with delight.

"Alive?" I raised an eyebrow, unsure of what he meant.

"Just come with me." He grinned and used Alohomora to unlock a door. Pulling me inside, I was met with a breathtaking sight—a grand room filled with dancing ghosts. It was both eerie and beautiful at the same time.

I recognized Nearly Headless Nick and Sir Richard Jackdaw among the spectral dancers. As the night settled around us, the ghosts began to sway and twirl, their ethereal forms a glistening light blue, moving gracefully to a haunting melody that filled the room.

"Welcome to the Haunted Ball," Sebastian announced, a sense of wonder in his voice. "Every night, these ghosts gather here to dance the night away."

I was captivated by the spectral display, the way the ghosts moved with an otherworldly elegance, their translucent figures gliding effortlessly across the floor and air. It was as if they were lost in a timeless waltz, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of enchantment in the air.

"Would you like to dance?" Sebastian offered, extending his hand to me.

Without hesitation and beaming, I placed my hand in his, and we joined the dancers in their timeless ball. As we swayed and twirled, I felt a connection with the ghosts, as if we were all part of a shared, hauntingly beautiful experience.

Sebastian's grip on my hand was firm yet tender, his eyes locked on mine as we moved with the ghostly dancers. But amidst the enchanting atmosphere, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more behind his invitation. There was a flicker of emotion in his gaze, a mix of longing and vulnerability that I hadn't seen before.

As the haunting melody filled the air, I couldn't help but wonder what was going through Sebastian's mind. Did he feel something for me beyond friendship? Was he using this dance as a way to express emotions he couldn't put into words? The uncertainty only added to the bittersweet beauty of the moment.

No. It can't be. There's been no signs.. and plus he's going to the ball with Imelda.

"Want to make this interesting?" He said with a mischievous grin.

I looked at him skeptically. He casted a leviosa and another spell that allowed us to move with the levitating ghosts.

I gripped and pulled Sebastian closer, unsettled from the unexpected spell. He seemed to enjoy my slight unease that quickly went away once I got use to our movements. I still held onto him closely for comfort.

"I've got you Yvaine" he whispered in my ear.

As we continued to dance, our movements became more fluid and intimate. Sebastian's touch on my waist gave goosebumps, and I found myself drawn closer to him, as if there was an invisible force pulling us together. The room seemed to fade away, and all that existed was the two of us, entwined in the timeless dance of the Haunted Ball.

"You dance beautifully," he said, his voice soft and warm, his eyes locked onto mine. "Ominis' lessons are paying off."

I smiled, feeling my cheeks flush. "Thank you, but it's the atmosphere that makes it magical. Not me. " My unease lessened as we danced closer to others.

The dance continued, and his eyes lingered on mine before darting away. It was as if he was wrestling with his feelings, unsure of whether to reveal them or keep them hidden.

"You are beautiful.." he whispered into my ear again.

When the music finally began to fade, Sebastian's grip on my hand tightened, and he drew me closer until there was barely any space between us. The intensity of his gaze took my breath away, and I found myself lost in the depths of his eyes.

The spell subsided and we gracefully planted our feet back onto the ground and reality.

"Tonight has been enchanting," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the dying melody.

I nodded, unable to tear my gaze away from his. "Yes, it's like a dream I don't want to end."

A flicker of vulnerability crossed his features, and he hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "I'm glad you came tonight,"

The weight of his words hung in the air, and I felt my heart swell with emotion. "I'm glad too," I replied softly, my heart pounding.

As the final notes of the haunting melody filled the air, we pulled back, me curtsying and then Sebastian bowing before placing a kiss on my hand.
