Yvaine POV

Present Time

In recent nights, my sleep has been infiltrated by visions of days long past, particularly centered around Sebastian, Ominis, and the echoes of our shared experiences at Hogwarts. These dreams feel like a haunting reminder of the inner conflict I've grappled with, a clash between my human emotions and my true essence. However, being back in my authentic form at home has granted me a relief from these turbulent feelings, giving a newfound clarity.

Our ceaseless efforts have been directed towards convening with the Realm Guardians in a relentless pursuit of the elusive Orb. Yet, despite our tenacity, the orb remains and lost and just beyond our reach. Working with Gabriel, Alaric, and my mother, we've harnessed the fusion of our magical abilities to extend the limits of our incantations. Gathered within a chamber often designated for strategic discussions and decisive planning, I sat near by reading texts while they continued their unwavering cycle of spellcasting, fine-tuning, and subsequent attempts.

"It's been hours and still nothing!" Gabriel's voice rang out in a crescendo of frustration, the force of his emotion causing him to inadvertently knock over a starfish that had been perched nearby. Suppressing a giggle, I exchanged a glance with Alaric.

"Patience, Gabriel," Alaric's measured voice attempted to temper his companion's impatience. "We mustn't rush what could be pivotal."

"But time is slipping away," Gabriel paced back and forth, his distress palpable. "The Orb could come into play sooner than we think, intentionally or through mere chance. We're racing against the unknown."

"We understand that better than anyone," Alaric asserted. I swam over to join them, studying the schematics of the spell and the Orb. Placing a hand on Alaric's shoulder, I gazed at the intricate design.

"What are you thinking, Princess?" Alaric inquired, his fingers intertwining with mine. I moved my hand from his to hover over the map spread out before us.

"Our blood," I murmured to myself. Hours spent scouring our libraries with the others had yielded few answers, until Poppy arrived with a book containing a vague Latin inscription related to the Orb.

"Amidst the ocean's whispered lore,

Lies an orb, ancient evermore.

By descendants' blood, awakened shall be,

The power that spans from deep to sea.

But beware the shadows that intertwine,

For unworthy hands invoke a cursed sign.

When moonlight's touch meets ocean's wave,

A heavy cost, a soul to crave.

Seek not dominion where darkness grows,

Lest life be claimed, and essence flows.

By the ocean's decree, ancient and deep,

Unlock the orb, or eternal sleep.

Yet mark this truth, a vital part,

The orb's consuming power shall depart,

The descendant's spirit, forever to flee,

Returned to the ocean, their origin sea.

Thus choose thy path, with utmost care,

As the orb's awakening beckons, beware.
