Chapter 16- silent crys

"Hey Evelyn erm it's been awhile I get your upset but please don't shut me out I'm heading to New England for a case in 30 minutes but I hope we can talk when I get back"
"Trouble in paradise, boy genius" Emily called as he returned to his desk
"Little more then that she kicked him out." Morgan replied looking up from his paper work
"She did not. I don't live there And look the only person I should talk to about this is your girlfriend. So please leave me and my misery while I call her
"Loosing your girlfriend so you try to take mine low blow pretty boy" Morgan laughed. Spencer's phone started to buzz "ooh who's that, your girl want you back"Morgan joked "actually it's your girlfriend I wonder what she wants" Spencer said as he stood up to take that call "oh you got jokes now kid"
"Mhm" he nodded walking away from the desks answering the phone "hey grace is everything alright"
"Spencer you need to come back I'm so worried about her, she's barley got out of bed since you left I haven't seen her leave her room. She's not eating she's not showering she can't go on like this today is her last sick day for the year. She's going to get fired if she's not in tomorrow you need to come here"
"I'll be there in five minutes" he hung up and ran over to Emily's desk
"Em I have to go now can you tell Hotch there's been a family emergency I can't come on the case today and I'll call him later."
"Yeah but is everything ok-
"Thanks" he ran out of the building before she could finish her sentence

Evelyn lie beneath the covers engulfed in complete darkness aside from the light poking through the side of the curtain. Her phone buzzing repeatedly "go away" she screamed, throwing the phone against the wall "is everything okay? Grace ran in after hearing the bang "Why are you still in bed we have to be on set in 15 minutes" grace sighed"not going" she mumbled rolling away from grace "look we're not in school anymore. You and your mum can't have an argument and you stay off the next day. your mum saying something awful to you doesn't mean you can skip work we are not in school. Get up get dressed and call Spencer because you know he is the only person who can help. Now get up please"
"It hurts Gracie, everything hurts so much I don't need Spencer I need you I need help I need something to make it stop hurting" she sobbed
"Oh Ev. Right firstly we're gonna get you up and showered. I'll talk to Alan see if we can get ur character less screen time for a while and Spencer should get here any second" she smiled. She walked over to the side of the bed and pulled Evelyn up "come on sweetie life has got to go on" she walked her to the bathroom and sat her on the floor just as the doorbell rang "that should be Spencer one second" grace walked back to the door and opened it "is she okay" he stood in the door way rain pouring behind him. She shook her head and lead him to The bathroom. "I've got to go to work I can get her one more day off but try get her in today." Grace wrapped him in a hug and left "Evelyn I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry a-about everything" he spoke softly wrapping her in a hug"
"Sorry I kicked you out" she laughed as she wrapped her arms around him
"It's okay but promise next time you feel like this you talk to me, you know instead of throwing my stuff out" he laughed, stroking her hair and drawing circles on her back
"Right I'll put the shower on and when we're all done here we can go get some breakfast and talk about this" she nodded her head slightly against his chest. He got up and walked towards the shower turning the taps to get the right temperature,Once the shower was on he walked back over to her pulling her up to her feet. They hadn't spoken in three weeks, not for his lack of trying he had filled her voicemail within three days. She was wearing the same t-shirt and shorts he had last seen her in. She wasn't well
He helped her to undress and walked her into the shower. He undressed and followed her in, the two of them stood under the hot water cascading down them. He grabbed the shampoo and turned her around he put the shampoo in her hair and started to wash her hair "Spence?" She whispered so quietly she was almost unheard over the pattering of the water
"Yeah"
"Was my mum right"
"No, nothing she said was remotely true your kind and considerate and stunning. And a-and not just your body, wh-which is also gorgeous but I love you for your smile and your eyes. I fell in love with those piercing blue eyes the first time I saw you. And you are confident and determined you literally passed high school went to university got a degree in special effects by eighteen moved halfway around the world took the SATs then got an amazing job went back to college studied acting and directing became an actress moved again then became one of the most popular actresses at this time and your only twenty six you have accomplished so much and I'm so proud of you and so grateful to have you in my life" he rinsed her hair
"I love you Spencer Reid"
"I love you too Evelyn Lewis"
They finished in the shower and got ready.
"Can we stop at the phone shop?" Evelyn said tying her hair into a bun
"Yeah why"
"Well this morning you kept calling me and I really couldn't answer and I was getting so Frustrated I kinda threw my phone at the wall she pointed to the phone laying on the floor
"Do You want me to drive" he offered re-tying his tie, she nodded in response
They walked outside and got in his old beetle and drove to the café a few streets away. He pulled his car into the car park opposite the quaint little diner they frequented they got out of the car and crossed the street walking into sals
"Ah my favourite customers where have you been I thought you might have traded me in for a Starbucks or something"
"Don't worry Sal we had a lot of Christmas and, pre-Christmas leftovers. We ran out though so expect us back all the time" Evelyn smiled
"That's good your booth is open if you want to sit there and Lucy can take your orders when you ready "thanks sal" Spencer said, walking Evelyn to the booth in the back
"So what do you want" Spencer asked, handing her a menu
"Oh I'm not very hungry I'll probably just have a tea"
He frowned
"When was the last time you ate something"
"You know how bad my memory is I have no idea"
"Evelyn,"
"Fine erm like Monday Tuesday-ish"
"Ev, it's Monday today. You haven't eaten all week, you can't do that it's dangerous"
"I feel fine and I lost 2 and a half pounds this week"
"But that doesn't mean you can't eat come on pick something anything I'm paying"
"I'm fine with tea Spencer"
"I wasn't asking Evelyn you have to eat. Oatmeal fruit salad pancakes eggs bacon something"
"I'll have the smoothie bowl then"
"Okay I'll go up and order"
"I though Sal said Lucy would come to the table"
"Did he? Well it's fine" Spencer got up and walked to the counter
"Sal?" He called out
"Spencer. Didn't I say Lucy would come to the table?"
"Yeah but I need to order on my own, can I get my regular and then the berry smoothie bowl, but can you add something in it chocolates chips oats extra strawberries something to make it more filling I'll pay"
"I have some white chocolate and some chocolate covered fruit? That sound good?"
"Sounds perfect, can I also get a coffee and the tea Ev likes?"
"Sure $17.95" Spencer handed the man a twenty dollar bill, thanked him and sat back down
Is your phone broken"
"I don't know I'll check" she pulled her phone out of her pocket and turned it on "hey it's working there's a little scratch on the screen but nothing bad
"That's goo- he was interrupted by his own phone ringing "I have to take this one second"
