Fear is the root cause of indecision. It halts one from taking necessary actions when their heart is conflicted with a decision. Jisoo's love for her husband remained strong, yet the lingering doubts and painful emotions made it hard for her to choose. She knew she should have made a decision long ago, but she found herself stuck, holding onto the hope that their love would revive once more.

As his lips met hers in a deep, passionate kiss, a heavy sense of longing and sadness washed over her heart. She yearned to push him away, to halt the kiss, but the truth was she craved it, desperately. It felt as though her mind, heart, and soul were at odds, each sending conflicting signals, leaving her feeling utterly disconnected within herself.

A frigid, constricting knot twisted in her stomach as she acknowledged the dangerous gamble she was embarking on by reciprocating his kiss. It was at that moment her body responded instinctively.

"No!'' Her voice rose in a sharp, indignant cry of refusal. Haein was left utterly bewildered by her sudden and swift reaction as she recoiled, pushing him away.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to kiss me?!" Her voice carried a desperate whine as her anguished expression twisted in pain. Haein gasped as the realization dawned on him that he had overstepped his bounds.

"I...I'm...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-" he stammered, but before he could finish, she pushed him away once more. Confusion clouded his thoughts as he struggled to understand, feeling like he was trying to make amends.

"Save it! Don't say anything else...this...this was a mistake...to come on this trip with you!! How dumb can I be to think you wouldn't make a move on me! I was clearly wrong!" Jisoo's words rang out loudly, her eyes piercing as she judged him for his actions. Haein struggled to make sense of the sudden shift in her demeanor, finding it surreal how quickly her mood had changed over a kiss that she had clearly responded to. Irritation began to simmer within him, not because of her complaints, but because it was evident she was trying to deny her true feelings.

"You know what...you're right! You...you shouldn't have come with me...because I had ulterior motives. It's all I can think about. It's all I dream of! To steal a kiss or two from you. Because I want you!" His words were firm, his eyes revealing the painful truth he grappled with every day in her absence. Jisoo narrowed her gaze, searching his brazen eyes frantically. A flicker of frustration ignited within her as she met his unwavering gaze.

"To steal a kiss? So you won't respect any of my boundaries, no matter what?" she questioned, eliciting a chuckle from him.

"You know what! I will from now on! I was foolish to think that you might have softened towards me. It was too good to be true! But...to give you peace of mind...I will marry Shin Hye! Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in a drought, futile and disappointing," he declared, his gaze unwavering. A sense of despair washed over Jisoo as his words sank in.
