Haein had adopted a philosophy that all situations in life are temporary, now that he was living with Jisoo and his daughter. When things were going well, he made sure to savor every moment. And when times were tough, he reminded himself that this too shall pass, and brighter days were ahead. It had been two weeks since Baek Hyeon and JongSuk had left, and surprisingly, everything was going smoothly. Haein couldn't understand why he had expected staying with Jisoo and his daughter to be challenging, especially since he was still adjusting to a new country and city.
Despite the challenges of adjusting to his new life, Haein was flourishing. Meanwhile, Jisoo was in a better place than ever before; she now viewed Haein as her life partner, the father of her daughter, and the man who loved her unconditionally. Each morning, he reminded her of the life they had built together, filling her heart with joy and contentment.
He brought such joy and contentment into her life that she never thought possible. From being a daughter and a mother, she now found herself as someone's partner, their love, and their source of happiness. Their conversations lasted for hours each day, revealing more about herself than she had ever known. The woman he described to her was the exact person she felt she had become during their time together.
It was incredibly beautiful how the man she had met just six months ago understood her so deeply. The novels and books she had read all her life now seemed to describe their love as a pure and enriching force. Jisoo found herself in the kitchen, attempting to make popcorn, something she had never tried before, or at least that's what she thought. Frowning, she narrowed her eyes at the packet of popcorn in her hands, feeling a mix of determination and curiosity.
"How do I even make this?" Jisoo pondered, struggling to open the clear plastic sealing the popcorn pack.
"Oh, instructions!" she exclaimed softly, a smile tugging at her lips as she began reading the steps outlined on the side of the package.
"Microwave? What is that again?" Jisoo wondered aloud, scanning the kitchen counter for the unfamiliar appliance. Suddenly, footsteps approached, causing her to startle. She turned to see Youngro's nanny walking towards the kitchen.
"Oh, Miss Jisoo, I was just about to make some milk for little Youngro," the nanny said with a gentle smile. Jisoo returned the smile, feeling a bit embarrassed at her confusion.
"Oh, yes, it's almost Youngro's bedtime. Um, I was wondering if you could perhaps help me with this?" Jisoo asked softly, showing the nanny the small pack of popcorn she held. The nanny's lips curled into a smile upon seeing Jisoo seek assistance.
"Ah, I see. You want to make some popcorn? I noticed earlier in the living room that Mr. Jung was trying to pick a movie to watch! It's heartwarming to see you both reconnecting," the nanny remarked gently as she approached Jisoo. Taking the pack of popcorn from her hands, she then made her way to the kitchen counter.
"He seems like a man with a pure heart. The way he looks at you and behaves around you... everyone in this house can see how much he loves you, Miss Jisoo," Mary said, placing the popcorn inside the microwave. Jisoo felt a bit puzzled by Mary's words, unsure why she was sharing these thoughts. She approached the microwave slowly, peering through the clear glass as she watched the pack expand inside.
Mary quickly realized that Jisoo was somewhat oblivious to the significance of her words.
"I mean... if it were any other kind of man, he wouldn't go through all this!" Mary stated plainly, making her opinion clear. Jisoo turned her head towards Mary, a frown forming on her forehead.
"What are you implying, Mary?" Jisoo questioned, her gaze unwavering. Mary felt a small sense of satisfaction that Jisoo was finally paying attention. Before she could respond, the microwave suddenly started beeping.
