It had been a week since Haein had exploded in anger at his brother, and in the days that followed, he found himself simmering with rage nearly every day. The fact that he had kept his feelings bottled up only intensified his frustration towards his family. Throughout his life, they had been a constant source of disappointment, each one letting him down in the most hurtful ways possible.

From a young age, Haein had learned to suppress his anger towards his family, trying to move on and bury the hurtful memories. But now, the weight of their constant disappointments had become unbearable. He couldn't ignore the fact that his family was the source of his deepest pain. He cursed the day he was born into their midst, resenting every moment he spent as a member of their troubled clan.

At this juncture in his life, it was understandable for anyone to feel outraged and angered by such circumstances. However, Haein struggled with directing his anger towards the right person, to the appropriate degree, at the correct time, and for the right reasons. It was a challenge beyond his control, making it difficult for him to manage his emotions effectively. As a result, he made the decision to withdraw from engaging with his family and stopped going to the company.

Determined not to let his anger consume him and cloud his judgment, Haein was wary of losing sight of what truly mattered, especially after learning an unsettling truth from his brother. The sudden revelation had shaken him to the core, leaving him feeling wrecked and lost. Desperate for answers, he turned to the heavens for guidance, praying fervently to uncover the truth about whether she had truly lost all her memories.

Turning to a glass of wine to ease the weight of his thoughts that stubbornly kept him from sleep, Haein rubbed his tired eyes and sank further into his chair upon glancing at the time on the wall. It was already 7 in the evening, and he found himself there without much hope for what lay ahead.

"If only I knew where you are right now! Where are you?" Haein muttered under his breath, the agony of not knowing her whereabouts weighing heavily on him. Suddenly, the sound of a car engine entering his driveway jolted him from his thoughts. Startled, he rose from his chair and made his way to the front entrance of his house.

"Father?" Haein exclaimed in disbelief as he saw Jung Taehoon himself stepping out of the car in the driveway. Taehoon glanced up, his expression unreadable, as he noticed his son standing by the door.

"Son," Taehoon muttered as he approached Haein by the door. Haein swallowed nervously and met his father's gaze boldly.

"Father," Haein replied, bowing respectfully at a thirty-degree angle before him. Taehoon offered a small smile and then placed a hand on his son's right shoulder, signaling for him to stand upright.

"I hope I'm not intruding at this hour," Taehoon said, observing his son's facial expressions. Haein raised his eyebrows and shook his head in response.

"No, not at all! Please, come inside," Haein replied, gesturing for his father to enter the house. Taehoon nodded slightly and proceeded to walk into the living room. Haein swiftly arranged the room for his father to sit comfortably in one of the chairs. Once Taehoon was seated, Haein took a seat across from him.

"I see that you have settled comfortably in this house. I'm glad you decided to take it over after your brother moved out. I always thought you might like to have it one day," Taehoon remarked, his gaze steady. Haein smiled faintly and bowed his head in acknowledgment.

"I have been living well here, father... thank you," Haein replied sincerely. However, Taehoon couldn't help but notice the numerous wine bottles scattered around the table and floor. Haein was aware that this was not the best time for his father to be visiting his home. The disarray and signs of his struggles were far from welcoming for a parent's visit.
