"Avtoritet's baby?" I asked confused; what's that?

Emilia stood up "We will discuss that later but I give you 7 hours to make sure you come up with ways for your own release or else I am stepping in"

I watched as she walked out of the cell before nodding at me and scurrying off. I leaned back on the wall awaiting whatever life has in store for me.

Avtoritet fell back to his seat immediately Kirill was out of sight and Tega immediately handed him a cup of whiskey. Avtoritet downed it in one gulp his eyes alternating between Vladimir and Tega

"What's your take on this Vladimir?" Avtoritet asked Vladimir

"I am with you on whatever you say boss. If you want us to fight against them then we will and if you want us to disassemble then we will" he said confidently

"Tega?" Avtoritet asked

"This operation is a means of survival for many people Avtoritet. You cancelling it just because of a threat isn't wise. Your brother speaks because he is scared but we aren't scared, we will face whatever is brought to us head on" Tega said

Vladimir slightly turned to Tega but not enough to fully turn away from Avtoritet

"If Kirill is so certain that the military is ready to take us down I think it will be wise to take smart decisions and be on the low for a while ..."

"To prove what Vladimir? Whether we go on  the low or even if we stop our operations permanently, they will still come after us. I rather die in the streets than behind bars" Tega concluded

Avtoritet watched between the both of them and his eyes narrowed at Vladimir. He was wondering why Vladimir was choosing peace over violence and war. Normally, Vladimir was a psycho, he derived joy in the pain he inflicted on others but this Vladimir before him was different.

"Avtoritet?" Tega called out reviving him from his thoughts

"Speak"

"What do we do about Liz?" Tega asked

Avtoritet played with the rings on his fingers while his brain worked "I need you to call our doctor, she should be here as soon as possible and she should bring everything
needed to run both a DNA test and a pregnancy test"

Tega nodded and slightly bowed before walking out of the office and closing the door.

"She claims that she didn't say a word Avtoritet" Vladimir said breaking the silence

"That could be true but it could also be a lie. It's been almost 15 years since I last heard of Maxim, he couldn't suddenly just want to take us down because he feels like, something definitely prompted him...or someone"

"She isn't saying anything Boss. I do not think she actually said anything..."

"Why are you defending her Vladimir?" Avtoritet asked raising his left brow in curiosity as his lips went into a thin line showing his displeasure

"Apologies Avtoritet, I am not defending her. It's normal for her to want to escape as she is human but it isn't wise to punish... the..ch..child"

Avtoritet took in a harsh breath before breathing out loudly "I will be damned if I let her keep that imbecile, if she refuses to put a name on it, I will just fuck it out of her"
