106 days until summer break
Sunday - Race Day - Monaco

I had moved my canvas to the living room, granting myself permission to watch the race of Barcelona. As usual, Charles had asked me to go with him, but I rather stay a few kilometres away from Max. Which I already failed by answering his texts.

Melony and Mia would come over after the race, the group chat had been buzzing ever since Monday, they wanted to know everything about my little 'date' with Max. But I would rather tell these things in person.

And besides, I was extremely busy with my studies. And the next few days will only get worse, since I told Max I might go to the Silverstone race.

My phone rang and I saw Arthur's name pop up as caller ID, with a bit of hesitation I picked up.

"Hello sister," His voice sounded enthusiastic through my phone. "How is my favourite sibling doing?"

I laughed, immediately noticing he was sucking up, "Hi Arthur, can I help you with anything?"

"No, no," He giggled. "As I said, I was just wondering how my favourite sibling is doing."

"Arthur," I let out a playful sigh. "You're sucking up. What do you need?"

"... A painting?"

Oh, for God's sake, Charles.

"I am going to sew Charles' mouth shut."

"Ah, come on, Jas," His voice became pleading. "I want one too."

How do they think paintings are created? That I have one finished within a day?

"Arthur, they take time."

"I will be patient."

"No, you won't," I laughed. Arthur was everything but patient. "If you were, you wouldn't have called me just now."

I looked at the television and saw the drivers line up for the formation lap. Max had taken pole position, and Charles was beside him on P2.

"Arthur, I need to go, the race is about to start."

"I know," He said. "I am in the Ferrari garage. Why aren't you here?"

"Different reasons. Two of them include my sweet brothers and both of them want a painting. The second one is school."

"Good luck with those things," He chuckled.

"Thank you, Arthur." I hung up the phone and increased the volume of my television. Full focus on the start of the race, after that I could start painting.

It wasn't until my friends knocked on the door that I dropped my paintbrush. I took a step back and looked at the process I had made in the past two hours. It wasn't that much, but step by step you could see the details better. I walked to the door to welcome my friends.
