76 days until summer break
Tuesday - Monaco

It was scheduled tightly. Right after my college and a day before Max had to leave to Italy for the Imola Grand Prix. But a bet was a bet, and I wanted to fulfil it.

The date had to be in one of our apartments, I didn't want the outside world to recognize us going out together, and since I liked to bake, I decided that today, Max and I were going to bake muffins.

"Baking?" Max asked me, confirming he heard me well. "I'm not that good at baking."

"You'll be fine," I said with a smirk, leading him towards the kitchen. I handed him a measuring cup and a bowl filled with fresh blueberries. Our fingers brush, sending a shiver down my spine as I smiled at him.

"And you'll have me. I'll teach you the art of muffin-making."

"Ah, yes, my beautiful artist," Max joked, but I couldn't help and blush from his little flirt.

We began measuring the dry ingredients, I poured two cups of all-purpose flour into the bowl, while Max held the cup steady.

My concentration solely fixed on the flour, not wanting to spill, but it caused a few loose strands of my hair to fall across my face. Max reached out, gently tucking them back behind my air.

I put the bag of flour back on the kitchen counter, flashing Max a shy smile, feeling the heat in my cheeks creating a rosy color.

"Stir it gently," I instructed Max, handing him a whisk while carefully adding half a cup of granulated sugar.

Max tried his best, but still created small clouds of flour dust.

I couldn't help but tease him, "You know, I think you might be the messiest baker I've ever met," I said with a grin, pointing to the bits of flour that had someone ended up on his cheek.

Max chuckled, his eyes never leaving me, "Well, maybe I'm just distracted by someone incredibly distracting," He leaned in closer, our faces mere inches apart. Max playfully brashed a bit of floor on my cheek, causing the soft tint of red to turn white again, "You've got a little something there too."

He took a step back, clearly proud of his handiwork, "What's next?"

"The wet ingredients," I whispered, slowly turning around. I gave him the whisker again, "Careful when I add the butter, okay?"

He nods, but immediately creates another cloud of flour dust.

"I must admit, your muffin-making skills are truly a work of art... in progress," I gave him a wink, unable to resist the urge to keep teasing him. The melted butter finally stopped Max from making any more flour clouds.

We moved on to the blueberries, and right when I wanted to warn Max, he accidentally spilled a few on the counter. Making it even harder to not make another teasing comment.
