The flight was long, very long, literally almost six hours and the small seats didn't help Tim at all. Somehow though, Lucy had managed to make it fun for him. The bathroom alone had left them both breathless and her knees weak. "Finally joined the mile high club." He muttered with a smile as they sat back down.

Lucy laughed quietly. "That was so much better than the plane ride during the UC assignment." She sighed, feeling quite content. Tim nodded in agreement. If their past, or even these past few months, or so hadn't confirmed that Tim wanted to marry Lucy, this flight definitely had. Honestly though, what more confirmation did he need?

Tim hadn't dated much since his divorce from Isabel, and he wasn't one for casual anything, it simply didn't fit in with who he was. Even with the few women he had dated though, Lucy had been ever present in his mind, always there in the back of his thoughts, the standard to which he held the others to. So, there was no question about it, he was ready to get down on one knee and ask Lucy to be his wife.

After playing some card games on the flight, Lucy fell asleep on Tim's shoulder. He couldn't help but smile, even as she drooled on him. Glancing out the miniature window of the plane Tim could see it had grown dark, so he too decided to close his eyes.

Unfortunately, he'd barely gotten comfortable when it was announced they would be landing soon. He wanted to groan and be annoyed, but he had told himself that he was going to be nothing but positive on this trip. He turned this head down to look at Lucy's sleeping form one more time before he began to gently shake her awake.

"Babe, we are about to land." She stirred ever so slightly, beginning to wake up. Man, she was really out of it, but look how cute she is... he thought to himself. Tim watched as she yawned and stretched, her beautiful big brown eyes fluttering open.

"Mmhmmm" she mumbled out, rubbing her eyes. "It's dark."

He smiled at her. "Yeah, honey. It's night time." She gave him a Lucy Look, it didn't scare him but he did smile at how scary she tried to be.

They sat back and waited patiently as the plane descended, finally touching ground. Tim was excited for this trip, for several reasons, but he wasn't prepared for the happiness he'd feel when he saw Lucy taking in New York at night. "Welcome to the city that never sleeps, Chen!" He called out her last name, hoping he wouldn't be doing that for much longer.

"It's... we'll, it's incredible." He smiled at her, watching her just love life. He gestured for her to follow him with her luggage as he went to hail a cab. Before either one of them knew it, they were in their hotel. Lucy's first instinct was to run to the window and open it up to watch the lights and the city. Tim smirked, watching her backside.

She was in such awe of the city, she didn't even notice when Tim came up behind her. He started by wrapping his arms around her waist and then moved on to kissing her neck. Lucy let her head fall to the opposite side, a moan escaped her lips. She felt his hands slide down her legs, her shorts with them. He turned her away from the window quickly, she looked down to see him on the ground in front of her. He looked up at her with a wicked smirk.

"My my, no panties, Detective?" Tim cocked an eyebrow at her.

"No, sir." Lucy bit her lip, their eyes meeting.

He was up in a flash, moving Lucy out of her shorts and back against the window until she was flat against it, her hands both held in one of his above her head. "Well, ma'am, I'm going to have to do something about that."

"I dare you." She smirked at him. Her eyes widened as he pulled cuffs out of his back pocket. When had he gotten those! She yelled internally. He pulled off her shirt slowly before slapping the cuffs on her wrists and turning her back towards the city, the cool glass felt wonderful against her heated chest.

"How does that feel? Allowing anyone to see you against that window?" He whispered in her ear, the hair on the back of her arms stood up. All she could do was moan in response.

"You smell divine." She felt him move back down as he spoke to her. The last thing Lucy felt, before completely giving in to the passion, was Tim's face going between her legs from behind...

That next morning, Lucy woke up, Tim's side was empty and cool. With a pouting face, she opened her eyes. Lucy smiled when she saw Tim, in only his boxers, standing in front of the window. She felt so beyond lucky to have Tim in her life, so much so that she couldn't believe how annoyed she'd been when she first saw him in McConnell's office.

"I could get used to this view." She propped herself up on her elbow, facing him. He turned around and smiled at her. She just loved the way the sun haloed around him. Joining her in bed, he pulled her into his arms. Lucy happily snuggled in closer. "So, the game is tomorrow, we are spending the majority of the day at the stadium. Therefore, today is free. What would you like to do?" She tapped his nose.

He sat deep in thought for a moment or so. "I say we spend the whole day right here. Just like this" she eyed him with a look. "No, no, hear me out. Later tonight, we will go out and enjoy the night life the city has to offer."

Lucy smiled at him. "That's much better." She tried to wiggle out of his arms. "You know that means we need a shower." Tim was out of the bed faster than Lucy had ever seen him move. She couldn't help but laugh at him. "

"Babe, naked wet shower time. Hop to it!" He popped his head out of the bathroom. Lucy ran to join him. That was only the first of many showers they took that day, poor housekeeping was going to have a field day with their room...

After their last shower, Lucy dressed a black tie tank top, tan high waisted shorts with matching sandals. She paired it with gold earrings and a pair of yellowish sunglasses. She was in the middle of finishing her makeup in the bedroom area when Tim walked out of the bathroom. He let out a long whistle.

"Babe? Really?" She looked back over her shoulder at him.

"What? Is this okay?"

"You are sinfully beautiful." He walked over, kissing her passionately. She pulled back, wiping lipstick off his mouth. From there she grabbed her bag and ran out of the room, Tim chasing behind her. They spent the whole night acting like the most ridiculously obnoxious tourists. They didn't have to be worried about bad guys or what case was next, it was just them. Lucy could tell Tim was quite annoyed, but she loved the fact that he was trying so hard to keep a smile on his face for her.

Tim was absolutely having the best time with Lucy in New York. Even if they were acting all crazy in Time Square. He honestly didn't mind, no this wasn't his usual, but he didn't care. He felt different when he was around Lucy.

"I love this side of you." She smiled up at him as they walked down a random sidewalk in the busy square.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Vacation you. You're so carefree and jolly."

"Jolly?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Happy, Tim. It means happy." She smacked his arm playfully.

"I know what it means you silly goose. But, to be clear, it's because I'm here with you." He tapped her nose the way she had tapped his earlier.

They spent that whole night taking in the city. They went to the Disney store for Jaclyn and the M&M store for Angela, and the biggest art store either of them had ever seen for Tamara. Lucy made Tim take a thousand pictures of her and with her. She even had him pose for quite a few. If it were anyone else he would have protested, with Lucy, he was less stubborn. He was her sunshine, and boy did she do wonders bringing out the light in him.
