Lunch: Edgeworth's POV

I arrive at the restaurant exactly at one, not a minute early nor one late. I like to be precise. Wright is already here which I find surprising, I feel as though he's usually late. Of course Larry isn't here yet. I don't presume he will be for a while. He has an absolutely horrid sense of time. That leaves Wright and me alone for at least... Probably ten minutes. Great... I'm not one for small talk, I was hoping Larry would carry the conversation. It was silly of me to even think he'd be on time.

"Hey," Wright smiled politely at me as I sat down across from him.

I definitely wasn't sitting beside him and I can only hope Larry chooses to do so so he doesn't sit by me. It's not as if I don't like Larry, I just don't wish for him to be in my bubble, I don't suppose he really knows boundaries.

"Hello, Wright." I nod at him in acknowledgement.

"I do have a first name, ya know." He replies teasingly.

     "I am aware."

He doesn't say anything in response... I should've said something else. I don't know why I even agreed to go, this is awkward. I'm only used to seeing Wright in court really, and I'm not a social guy anyway.

Thankfully Larry comes barging in, though I do feel embarrassed for him for coming in in such a clumsy manner.

"Nicky! Edgey!" His smile is huge as he, thankfully, sat beside Wright, giving him a fist bump once he was settled.  "I guess I lost track of the time!"

"Hey, Larry." Wright smiles at Larry.

"Larry." I nod at him too.

"Aww, c'mon Edgey! You don't have to be so formal!"

"I guess it's just natural for me to do so." I shrugged it off, trying to seem more "casual", being formal just seems more natural to me.

Wright smiled and nodded, seemingly agreeing with Larry. Maybe it is something I need to work on, though when I tried to be cheerful with Detective Gumshoe all I felt was embarrassment.
