Maya comes out of my room, "He hung up on me!"

"Sounds like Edgeworth..."

She sighs. "Ya know, Nick. I hate to admit it but..."

"I'm right?" I smile.

"Hmm. No. I don't think I could make myself say something so untrue."

I shake my head, "What did he say?"

"Well, he said 'Maya, I didn't know you were back,' or something to that sort. Hmm. Yep. That's it. Then I was like 'Did ya hug Nick?' and he hung up!"

I laugh a little as she playfully punched my arm, "That could mean you're lying!"

"Why would I lie about that?"

"The cold Mr. Edgeworth hugging you, nah, seems impossible."

"He's not all that cold. He paid for your bail once." I retort.

"Hmm. Yeah. That's true, Nick. Ya know what I think?"

I cross my arms, "I don't think I want to hear this."

"Oh, c'mon Nick! I'm a genius, I figured it out?"

"Have you now?"

"Yeah! While I was gone you two starting going out!" She says excitedly. "I knew it!"

"Did you forget what I told you? He was gone for a year!"

"Huh. I guess I forgot."

She walks off and plops herself on my couch, sighing dramatically.

"What?" I ask her

She lays back, "If only I had someone to make me something to eat, huh Nick?" She raises her brows at me.

"Only if." I say back, laughing as she groans.

"But Niick! I'm practically starving! Ooooh. I know! We should go out for lunch! Me, You, and your Edge-Wedgy!"

"...Maybe. but never call him that again."

Just then, I feel the ground start to shake.

Maya jumps up. "Earthquake!" She looks oddly excited.
