(Maryam's POV)

"What?" he said, I'm sure he heard me the first time.

"I know you heard me I asked who the hell Alayna is" I said in that rude tone, seems like that's the only way he deserves to be spoken to.

"Why can't you ever be polite when speaking, would it kill you to" he said which annoyed me

"You..." I said as he cuts me off

"That manner you spoke to me in when we were at your mum's place, why can't you speak to me in that manner now, would it take anything from you to" he said in that calm tone of his which annoyed me

"Will you stop changing the topic, are you avoiding the question cause you you know you're wrong" I said annoyed raising a brow at him, all this time his just focused on his food, he hasn't even bothered raising his face to look at me, at this point I don't care if he looks at me or not, but this what he always does looking away and never answering the question

"Wrong" he said throwing the spoon on his plate before looking at me and then letting out a scoff.

"Wrong about what?" He said raising a brow

"I'm permissible to four wives so what's wrong about having a wife before you, or do you think you're that special that would be the only woman in a man's life" he said which rather left me surprised, is this really Aliyu, how could he talk to me in this manner, why.

"Are you..." I said as he cuts me off

"You wanna know who Alayna really is?" He asked in an angry manner as I just looked at him not responding

"Alayna is the woman that destroyed me, Alayna is the reason I'm a dieing man, Alayna was the first woman I fell in love with and got married to, Alayna is the woman that cheated and betrayed me times without number, Alayna is the cause of all my problems and the reason for how I am today" he said angrily as he kept quiet for a moment trying to breath

"Alayna is the woman I'm still in love with no matter what she has done, even after all the damage she has caused me, Alayna is still the woman I'm in love with I hope that answers your question" he said in a calm tone as he got up and walked out of the dinning room while I just sat there, his words still replaying in my head over and over again.

I couldn't get them out, if he was in love with her so why the hell did he marry me, why.

(Aliyu's POV)

I'm not surprised she brought up that topic at the dinning, the least she could do was let me have breakfast in peace but it seems that is even impossible, I can't even eat in peace in my own house.

I'm just glad I spoke to her in the way I did, I hope that hurt her pride, she wants to know who Alayna was and I hope now she does.

"Sir the house is ready" my manager Muhammad said to me as I nodded.
