EXT. PORT CHARLES BASKETBALL COURT - DAY
The next day, Danny peers over a bush, watching three older kids play basketball on a court near the camp; Tyler, Troy and Zane. Tyler, is a tall lanky white kid with brown shaggy hair. Troy is a tall muscular black kid with a low fade. Zane is a medium height, heavy set kid with blond hair. Jake comes up behind him.
JAKE
Danny?
Danny jumps.
DANNY
You scared the crap outta me.
JAKE
What are you doing here? Your group is down at the lake canoeing.
DANNY
So?
JAKE
So you should be in a canoe right now.
DANNY
That's not happening.
They both watch the older kids on the court.
DANNY
You know any of these guys?
JAKE
They go to Port Charles high school. They're seniors this year.
The ball bounces over in their direction and lands near Danny's foot. Tyler approaches him out of breath.
TYLER
Hey, man. Pass the ball.
Danny picks up the ball and hesitates.
TYLER
You deaf? Pass the ball.
Jake nudges him. Danny shoots the ball from where he is. It goes in the basket. All the guys turn to look at him.
TYLER
Lucky shot. Bet you cant hit that twice.
Tyler pass the ball back to Danny. Danny goes for another basket and sure enough, it goes in.
TYLER
You play?
DANNY
Yeah.
Tyler turns to the other teens on the court.
TYLER
I call him!
Danny runs to join them as Jake watches, concerned.

EXT. PORT CHARLES BASKETBALL COURT - DAY
Danny leans down to re-tie his shoes as Jake approaches him on the court.
JAKE
Danny, come on. I'm responsible for you.
DANNY
No you're not.
JAKE
Yes I am. You're a camper.
Danny stands up.
DANNY
Stop calling me that.
JAKE
Says it on your shirt.
DANNY
