INT. METROCOURT - RESTAURANT - EARLY EVENING
Sam walks off the elevator and Alexis waves her over to their table.
ALEXIS
You're late.
SAM
What?! No I'm not.
ALEXIS
You on time if you're early. You're late if you're on time.
SAM
She's not even here yet.
ALEXIS
That's not the point. She's a big fish.
SAM
I'm aware, which is why I took the liberty of ordering a car to pick her up at her hotel.
ALEXIS
You know where she's staying?
SAM
Where she's staying, when her flight arrived and even what she ordered last night for room service.
Alexis leans back.
SAM
I'm a P.I, mom. If I have to impress her as much as she has to impress us, that's what I'll do.
Alexis smiles with approval. The elevator opens to Gia. She steps out and scans the room. A waiter looks at Sam and Sam nods to him. He walks over to Gia.
WAITER
Ms. Campbell?
GIA
Yes?
WAITER
Right this way. Ms Mccall and Ms. Davis are expecting you.
Gia follows him and guides them to a secluded table to the side. Sam and Alexis stand up as she approaches.
GIA
Well this is a welcomed surprise.
ALEXIS
How are you my dear?
Gia and Alexis embrace.
GIA
It's so nice to see you.
ALEXIS
Same here, it's been a while. I hear you have a daughter now!
GIA
I do. She's sixteen.
ALEXIS
You have all my sympathy.
GIA
I can definitely use it.
Sam extends her hand.
SAM
Hi, I'm Samantha McCall. But please call me Sam.
GIA
Sam, it's nice to meet you.
SAM
Have a seat.
Gia sits down between Alexis and Sam.
GIA
Thank you for the car you sent but that wasn't necessary.
SAM
It's my pleasure. I hope you don't mind but I also ordered your drink.
