This lovely image was sitting in my files, so BOOM!

Anyways, this is the second part to Y/N's backstory. If you're a bit confused, Y/N's mother (who is called Me Me) really does love Y/N, and she wants the ABSOLUTE best for her child. She just controls and dictates Y/N's life to make sure no one would discriminate her for being imperfect and not following the status quo. Y/N's mother really does care for her kid, Me Me just shows her love the way her parents showed her.

Y/N POV

I tried to run to her mother, the water spraying everywhere under my panicked feet. The water was up to my waist when the men started yelling gibberish and ran faster. I was so close when Me Me reached out to me and shoved me into the salty liquid, at the same time saying, "Don't stand up 'till I say so."

BANG!

Me Me screamed and fell into the sea, but she didn't say to stand back up again, so I was submerged under the seawater. I waited until the meanie's yells faded and I stood up. I looked over to my mother, and screamed. Me Me was lying face down in the water, surrounded by a pool of blood. I quickly but gently flipped her over and carried her to shore. The evil people would have to run through a stretch of jungle to get to our village, but if they head straight... we had only a little bit of time.

I checked Me Me for the spot she got hurt and saw the blood pouring out from her stomach. Me Me coughed up blood, she was shaking in spasms. It would have been so painful for my mother. Tears streaked the thanakha (Burmese make up product, actually pretty and good for your skin) my Me Me had applied lovingly to my face just this morning. The same Me Me now lying in a pool of blood. Me Me reached towards her face and brashly took off her red, wooden, craved mask, passed through the generations. She put it in my hands, but I placed it beside her and hugged her tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Y/N, Y/N sweetie my mask is yours. My beauty is yours. My bag is yours. My love *coughs more blood* is yo-" Me Me's eyes gazed at me, life passing on. I shook Me Me gently.

"Me Me? Me Me? Me Me! Me Me!! ME ME! ME ME!" I sobbed uncontrollably once more, caressing my mother in my arms ever so gently.

More screams and gun shots rang through the air. Men shouting in a foreign language reached my ears, and I turned into a ball of fury. I put on my mothers mask, ran out into the ocean, placed her body in the deep waters that now serve as a final resting place, said a prayer, and ran back to shore, through the jungle, and into the village. I was going to kill who ever shot my Me Me.

I ran through the back streets, down alleyways, memorizing each path with a photographic memory, and reached my house. I climbed through the back window and grabbed Me Me's bag. It was a simple leather bag, but there were hundreds of straps across the front. Our family never used it often so I wondered why Me Me gave it to me. (years later, Y/N would open the bag and find a letter, an incarnated clam necklace, and a note from her mother, directed to her. What the note says will be included at the end of the paragraph. The photo was a family picture, one Y/N was able to get crafted into the clam necklace) I couldn't think about the strange gift now, and ran to find my father and brother at the training grounds.

But when I got there, I was surprised at who and what was there. There was a blue man, one like Myanmar and Fe Fe, and he held one of the invaders elongated tool. The blue man pointed the end of the tool towards the sky and a bang rang out. All the other bangs must have come from those weapons, but none of the others bangs sounded exactly like this one. The others were lower, but this one was high pitched. High pitched like the shot that killed Me Me. My hands fisted as I looked at the blue man with rage.
