/Alexis/

I was enjoying myself so far.
I had cool powers and a dope neck chain.

I was feeling pretty good, humming to myself.
I wished I had my earphones on.

We walked behind Bruno and Chang, marvelling at the sick mansion.
We kept walking until we reached an elevator.

When we were in, Bruno pressed a button.
Floor 20.

Soon, the doors opened and we stepped into a hallway. We walked on until we reached an enormous– you guess it– yup, gold door standing in front of us.

Bruno touched his palm to a scanner.
The door swung open.
"...I love it when you–woah!" I said pausing midway through my song.
The room was huge.

It was all gold and shiny. I know, best description ever.

Since it was a training room, I expected to see weapons and stuff like that.
What I saw made me remember I was in a magical kingdom.

I saw those two symbols: the eye of Horus and the double rectangle.
There were multiple of them flying around.

Some were glowing golden while some where blinding white.
The room was empty and white, except for the two symbols.

It was like in those cartoons when you're knocked out and you wake up in your head and there's no door or anything, just a white void and then suddenly a door opens from nowhere and...yeah, where was I?

Oh, yeah. Blank white room.
We walked in.
Suddenly a guy materialises in front of us making us jump.

He looked about thirty. He was bald and clean shaven.
He wore a white robe.

Bru bowed to him. Chang bowed.
We all followed suit like we knew what was going on.
The bald guy bowed as well.

"Hello, David," Prince Bruno said.
He turned to us.
"This is David."

Yeah, we didn't get that seconds ago.
Maddie and Lex chorused "Hi."

Maddie's was enthusiastic. Lex's was more of 'I couldn't care less.'

Lucy nodded at him.
Tanya was like, "hey."
"'sup" I said, "so should I call you Mr..."

"Just call him David," Chang said.
"Okay."
Trevor walked up to the guy but David put one hand in front of him like, stand back.

"Hey," Trev greeted before retreating.
"So Chang who's this?" I asked, tucking my hands into my pocket.

Chang smiled. That was creepy.
He was Asian so with that glint in his eyes, he looked like all these samurai warriors that were about to slice you in half with their samurai blades.

"David is the greatest Diviner Horei has. He has mastered the spirit of growth very well because he's usually given the spirit to inhabit every war Horei fights in, although there haven't been wars in a long time. But he still practices. You just never know when a fight shall come along."

"Usually, Horei doesn't do combat magic. We're more of heal and grow. But when it's needed, our spirits can be very vicious. So, yeah. David is going to help you initiate your powers. Let's begin at once," Bru said.

The David guy motioned for me to come forward.

"He can't talk?" Trevor asked.
"He can. But...once in a while."

"Okay," I said and stepped forward.
David snapped his fingers.

A basketball appeared from midair and dropped to the ground.
It bounced and rolled but I caught it with my feet and took it in my hands.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"I think he can detect you inhabit the spirit of agility," Chang told me.

"So... whats the point of the ball? He wants us to go one on one? I don't see any hoops," I said.

"I trust David. He knows what you need."
I sighed in frustration and bounced the ball.
Weird.
The ball moved slowly, like time was set to slow motion on the ball.

"Hey, bruh...how do you expect me to dribble or pass or–" I started.

David raised his hand.
I thought it was to signal me to shut up but the ball started glowing blue.

Then he told me,
"Bounce."
Okay, that was just plenty weird.

I obeyed and bounced the ball. It was still slow as hell.

"I don't get it," I said.
I bounced it with all my strength but it just kept getting higher with every bounce.

Suddenly, my perspective shifted.
Everybody began to move slower.

I heard Lex say in slow motion, "What's wrong with Alex?"

The ball started to bounce at a normal pace.
I bounced it faster until the ball left my hands and I heard a shreik.

My perspective shifted back to normal.

The ball went haywire. It bounced everywhere, hitting the roof, the walls, until David flicked his hands and the ball disappeared.

I turned around to look at everyone's stunned faces...

---------------
😳
That's exactly how their faces were XD

Ooh... Alexis!!

See ya!
