Chapter 16: Unexpected Purge? Part 2

The air was tense and the silence , deafening.
We see a bandaged up Moxxie with Loona , Blitzø , Millie and Kyle following Lee through the slums. Hopping from alley to alley in hopes of avoiding detection. Though moving around was a bit troubling for Kyle since he had big wings. Moxxie is still unconscious , but very much alive and is being carried on Millies back.

Kyle is currently handcuffed while Blitzø has his pistol drawn in case the situation gets ugly , mostly because Kyle is an Exterminator. Loona is at the rear part of the group , being the nose and ears while Lee was the eyes and guide.

Kyle: ... if you're worried about them coming here , that won't likely happen.

Kyle says , trying to break the silence.

Lee: Exterminators , huh? And why is that?

Kyle shrugs.

Kyle: I've been here a few times. Checked every corner , nook and cranny of the slums for any Sinner I could probably (not) find. This place is all but abandoned and dilapidated.

This caught Lee's attention.

Lee: why exactly?

Kyle: because:

1. It holds no monetary value for companies. No business , no cash. No cash , no income.

And

2. Because there would be more loss than profit. A city needs citizens after all. This place is not liveable-

Blitzø: what's your point?

Blitzø asks with a frown on his face , cutting Kyle off.

Kyle: look ya see- my point is that I highly doubt Exterminators would be here since they focus on more densely populated areas. But that doesn't mean we should let our guards down.

By just talking , this guy was getting on Blitzø's nerves.

Blitzø: (*shakes head*) no , no , no. There is no us in this. You're not our friend. Not a Demon , Imp or a Sinner.
Why should we trust you?

Kyle: (*tilts head at Blitzø*) you don't , I am an Exterminator after all. Besides , after what I did today , pretty sure it brands me a traitor. I would be surprised if I could still get to Heaven.

Lee: (*looks back while walking*) It's obvious you don't use portals. So you basically fly down to Hell , don't you?

Kyle nods , answering Lee's question.

Kyle: yep , without wings , I can't get to Heaven. Strange thing is that I see no Demons trying to build something to get to Heaven. Hell must be paradise for them. Either that or something is preventing them from going there.

Lee: (Very , very interesting. I'll be sure to remember that)

Loona: (*tense*) Lee , how long until we get there? This place is giving me the f*cking heebie-jeebies.

Loona asks as she looks around while gripping her left arm nervously.

Lee: (*looks at Loona*) we should be getting there.

Lee answers Loona.

Kyle: soooo , I've been meaning to ask.

Lee: hmm?

Kyle: why'd you burn their bodies exactly?

Lee: I had to. If word gets out that two Exterminators have been killed , all hell would break loose , literally. Destroying the evidence was necessary , unless we want a war to break out. Rather not put a target on anyones back , especially mine.
