After the performance and the little chit chat he had with this girl, Radha, that felling was back again; the same uneasiness, but something was different. This wasn't a feeling of discomfort, rather it felt good, like a relief, like the shade of a tree in gruelling heat of the sun. He had this feeling, yet, he took a bus and went back to his parental home. The one where he spent his childhood with his mummy and papa.  As he opened the lock of the house, all the memories came back flooding, he was here after nearly an year. The wound of his parents' death hadn't healed completely. The way his mummy would open the door for him everyday after school, scold him for not keeping his shoes tidily and throwing around his bag and uniform. The way she would bring him and his brother, Ravi, hot food from the kitchen; which now, stood so empty. Eklavya took out the food he had bought on the way and started hearing it. His mother would then go outside and pretend like she working all this time. The two brothers would look at each other and say," she didn't even bother to pick up the bedding after her afternoon sleep." and laugh.
He lay down on his bed to take some rest and woken up two hours later, by a phone call.
"Hello"
"Hello, yes?" Eklavya spoke, still half asleep
"Hi, Hope I didn't disturb you? Were you sleeping?" Radha asked
"No no ,not at all." Eklavya yawned.
"Well I just wanted to say, that I'm impressed by your padhant  and singing today Eklavya. Also thanks for the help with the travelling."Radha said
"Yeah I know. I'm a very useful person." Eklavya replied, smiling
Radha giggled,
" what?" He asked
"Nothing." Radha replied
"Where did you get my phone number from?" Eklavya interrupted
"You gave it to me." Radha implied
"No I didnt, when?" Eklavya asked, shocked.
"It doesn't matter Eklavya," Radha mentioned " hope you've eaten something. I had brought some food with me which I was gonna share, but that guy came."Radha  implied.
"Namu told me that your cooking is a disaster." Eklavya chuckled
"My is food is VERY eatable." Radha huffed.
"Who was that guy anyways?" Eklavya asked
"Oh he uh-"
"Your enemy?" Eklavya interrupted
"Yeah yeah. Enemy. Big time enemy." Radha added.
"So when are you going to give me a taste of your cooking Radha?" Eklavya asked
"The kadhi chawal you had had at your house the day before leaving-"
"Yeah?"
"That was MY cooking." Radha boasted.
"Oh uhmm. Well, I don't remember the taste very well. Must've been pretty bland then" Eklavya smirked.
"I'm not that bad of a cook, alright?"
"Don't get angry, RADHA." Eklavya mocked.
"Oh I'm getting another call, we'll talk later okay?" Radha said
"Hmm" Eklavya hung up the phone.

"Hello. Radha" Namita asked on the other side.
"What did you tell Eklavya about my cooking skills?" Radha asked, hurriedly
"What? When? " Namita seemed confused
"That my cooking is a disaster." Radha added
"I told him that about 2 years ago, when you just shifted. Why are you asking it now?" Namita implied.
"Well, he mentioned it to me today, so" Radha added
"See you've come a far way in cooking. You were terrible in the beginning." Namita smiled mockingly
"Well guess what. Your opinion doesn't matter. Now why did you call?" Radha asked
"There are two things" Namita added
"Go on"
"Shubham asked me a lot of questions today." Namita said
"Why? He is not in mine; or your class." Radha raised an eyebrow.
"He doesn't go dance with you?"
"Nooo. He just waits there for me sometimes."Radha mentioned
"So you know that he likes you?" Namita seemed confused
"Its obvious yeah." Radha smirked
"So then? Why don't you- I mean ask him or heed him?" Namita asked
"I said, I think Shubham likes me. I don't like him."Radha emphasised
"So you don't like him?
"As a friend yeah, but nothing more."
"Since when has he been trying on you Radha?"
"Since the day I joined college." Radha mentioned casually.
"What! 2 years. Girl, at least give him a little signal if you don't like him." Namita was surprised
"I wouldn't do that." Radha affirmed
"Why? You don't have any interest in him at all. He seems pretty sincere to me." Namita asked
"Well are you really going to make me say it Nami?" Radha asked meekly
"What? Is he not handsome enough-"
"I know that you like him but you don't have to try pairing me with him." Radha said
"I don't like Shubi- uh- Shubham, I'm just telling you that you could just give him a chance." Namita replied.
"Don't lie Namita. Moreover if he likes me, he should make the move not me." Radha mentioned
"That's kind of unfair." Namita added
"He is a boy. Its his job to ask out. Also I don't mind asking guys out; I'm not the one who is interested, he is-"
"Leave it. The second thing is that, we both are made in charge of planning an item for the cultural fest." Namita interrupted
"I'm really tired today Nami. Moreover it'll be better if we discuss this matter once I get back there alright?" Radha said
"Huh.. fine-"
"Also, Namita, its your decision anways; but if you really like Shubham, there is no shame in admitting that." Radha added
"Listen Radha, I used to like Parag-"
"I don't have the patience to hear all this, but I know Shubham is like Parag. Parag's story ended, when the school ended alright. Just- Do what you want." Radha hung up the call.
