A/N: So, this is not an update, so feel free to skip ahead. But I just wanted to discuss with you my views on Sokeefe for all those Sokeefe and Fitzphie supporters. You don't have to change your mind, I just want to talk about why I'm doing this.

Btw, all the time I say 'bam' does also slightly reference to Biana and Tam. TIANA FOR LIFE!

Hello! Thank you for reading this uninteresting part of the story! I'm going to start with myself.

First of all, usually in books when there's a little romance, it will usually come out as the main character ending up forever with the first boy/girl the character 'romanticizes' with, or the first one the character meets.

That is how it usually is. So, when I was reading book 1 of kotlc (I just finished book 8 btw and sneek peeked through like all of books 8.5 and 9), when Sophie met Fitz and had weird 'fluttery feelings' I was like, "Oh, awesome! Bam! They belong together! When does this happen?" and started keeping an eye out for 'Fitzphie' moments.

But as I got through books 2-3, I started leaning. Especially after book 2. Now, I was really frustrated with myself. I couldn't decide between Fitzphie and Sokeefe. So, I just hovered on the line.

Then, I read Neverseen and I was like, "Bam! She belongs with Keefe. Forever. Nope. Can't change my mind. They belong TOGETHER FR THIS TIME"

Now I'll tell you why.

Background- Fitz.

Fitz has grown up in the most prestigious family in the elvin world. He was the best Telepath anyone had ever seen. He was used to being the top. This isn't a bad thing, its just how it is. I don't mean Fitz is snotty or mean or full of himself it is just that he is aware that he is the Golden Boy.

I think, sometimes, that Fitz also has a lot of pressure on him. Everyone was always counting on him to be the best of the best and make his family name shine.

Its probably hard being a Vacker.

Then, Fitz met Sophie. At first, he was amazed. He had just added points to himself for bringing 'The Girl' home to where she belonged. He was measuring up even more to be the 'Alden's golden son'

But he started to crack under the strain of trying to measure up to Sophie.

Now, she was the elvin world's best Telepath, she manifested at the earliest age known, super powerful, and the key part of taking down the Neverseen and saving the world as the Moonlark.

I think that Fitz felt a little hopeless and probably a little jealous as she started to beat him in everything. Spoltching matches, Telepathy training, basically all of the above.

I think that Fit thinks that his only role in life is to be 'The golden boy' and that he can't be anything more.

Like how he obsessively talks about 'legacy'. Its all he's ever known and its all he thinks he is good for- which is not true.

And now, with Sophie diminishing that title, he feels like nothing. Haven't you noticed that people rarely praise Fitz anymore, or ask him to do important things?

When Sophie complains about her getting asked these things, yeah, Fitz is annoyed. He has the right to be. Sophie's complaining about something Fitz wants. I'm not saying that he has the right to yell at her. That is unacceptable, and he doesn't realize that Sophie talking to him about these things is only because she trusts him, and she confides things to those she trusts.

That is one of the reasons I think why she now talks to Keefe more. She feels more comfortable around him and she knows he will listen. That is one of the great things about Keefe.

(I don't want to spoil the first Fitzphie moment when Fitz says, "I want it to be you," in case if it devastates someone. Even though I am a Sokeefe supporter, I still appreciate this moment, so I am not abusing it. But you can skip ahead this section.)

When Fitz confessed his 'feelings of love' I'm not totally sure if he meant it. He cared about Sophie, I just think he misread those feelings of caring.

You see, if Fitz was with Sophie, he could live up to potential finally. It would make sense to the Vacker legacy to be with Sophie. Then, he wouldn't have to be annoyed about Sophie being #1 if they were together.

That is probably one of the reasons he 'liked' her.

But when he found out she was unmatchable, he lost it. He couldn't understand why Sophie would't find her genetic parents. (SPOILER AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOK 8) But, Oralie is an important person on the council. The people need her. It is more important than match status. But Fitz didn't understand.

He didn't really consider Sophie being 'her own person' in that moment.

Think about this: If Fitz had really loved her, then why was it so easy for him to let her go? Keefe would never leave her, and always put Sophie before himself even if she broke his heart.

So, now I am getting into Keefe.

Background- Keefe.

Keefe had no one in his life. He didn't have a family to love him. I think that is why Keefe clung to the Vackers before he met Sophie.

He confessed wanting to be apart of the Vacker family. It was the only 'family' he had ever known. Fitz was like a brother and Biana was like a sister. Alden, Della, Biana, and Fitz were the only people who ever cared for Keefe.

Keefe had wanted that so badly that he held on to it as firm as he could.

Then, he met Foster!

He finally had another friend who cared about him too. But, this was different. He was pulled by her traits and beauty, which he confesses in 8.5. She also has shown concern and love when nothing else had.

He cared about Foster more than anything in his life. This is both a good and bad thing.

I'm not going to pretend Keefe is perfect or that Fitz is horrible, because that's not true.

It may seem like in stories there is always a 'perfect good guy' and an 'evil bad guy'. But that's not right in this story.

Keefe's love for Sophie could nearly drive him insane. And he does do pretty stupid things. Like when he ran away to the Neverseen, or ran away to the Forbidden Cities. He doesn't really think things through.

And please don't hate on me when I say this but: sometimes his flirtatious attitude with Sophie can be kinda annoying. Especially when it embarrasses her. BUT I THINK its still cute :)

But he dedicated every move to Sophie. He was willing to pay a gigantic cost, even if the reward wasn't that big.

But Keefe tries. He tries so hard.

That is why my heart breaks and shatters every time I read that quote from Keefe's short story.

Its so sad that he will still stand by her as a friend, because that was what she needed.

(But.... Chapter 42 of Stellerlune, anybody?)

But I hope y'all can understand now why I am for Sokeefe. It isn't about how good or bad Fitz or Keefe is. It's about their relationship with Sophie and how it affects her.

Sophie is always nervous and uncomfortable around Fitz.

But she is so comfortable around Keefe. She leans on him entirely.

It may not be what everyone wants, but if Sophie truly wants to be happy. It isn't going to be with Fitz

And if you are still supporting Sodex, I'm sorry but that ship sunk a long time ago.
