"So, do you care do explain what this Adrelices thing is? Or am I just going to have to guess?" Keefe said, breaking the silence that seemed to stretch since Mr. Forkle came out of the shadows, said something so random, then wouldn't tell him and Foster what it meant.

Honestly, Keefe thought that the Forklenator should get with Bangs Boy sometime. He was sure that they would find that they had lots in common.

"Yeah," Foster said, glancing at Keefe briefly, then back at Mr. Forkle.

She was radiating pure emotions of confusion that battled with his own.

Keefe understood why. It was kind of freaky how she had been on her deathbed, not responding to anything in one moment, then Boom! She was sitting upright, full of energy, and showing no signs of injury.

Except for the way she kept wincing every few minutes.

Mr. Forkle, he noticed, looked quite uncomfortable.

Keefe was seized with a round of pleasure. The Forklenator deserved it, after everything that had happened.

"It's um, well," Mr. Forkle stuttered, his eyes darting around the room, searching for what to say.

"You kids better get home, I- have things to do," he finished unexpectedly.

Before Keefe could point out that Sophie was dying and couldn't just go home, the Forklenator bolted out of the Healing Center, the door swinging shut with a bam.

Keefe snorted. Leave it all to the 'ol Fork-Man to ask all the questions and give no answers.

Keefe gasped as a fresh wave of pain hit him. It took a second for Keefe to realize that the pain wasn't his own.

Foster.

"Keefe, are you o-ok?" Foster asked, reaching over to grab Keefe's arm.

"No, I'm fine, but you aren't," Keefe said, wishing his voice sounded a bit more steady.

In an instant, Foster's face waxed in pain, horror, and shock.

"What, what is it?" Keefe said, confused, shaking her until Sophie looked at him again.

"F-fitz just transmitted," Sophie gasped.

"And- what exactly did Fitzypoo want you to know that he couldn't come and say to your face," Keefe said, hating how his temper was rising.

How come anger pushed its way into the top five emotions Keefe had been feeling lately?

Sophie looked at him, her eyes welling up in tears.

"He said, 'I'm sorry. Tell Biana and my parents I love them."

Keefe shook his head, trying not to think about what he thought that meant.

"But, doesn't that mean..." Keefe trailed away.

"Yes," Sophie gulped, "They've got Fitz."

A/N: Alr, I'll stop with these so I can hurry with the story. Hope you liked this quick transition chapter, I'll be back sooner than you can read. :) Also, Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate it!
