Reality

You hate reality because it's always stabbed you in the back

you'd prefer to live in a fantasy if you could

a fantasy like a chocolate factory

with rivers of chocolate, soda, and lemonade

because reality, sucks

and it's a harsh reality

and I know how you feel

because I hate reality too

everything that's real, slips off of my fingertips

leaving me wondering

was it even real?

So I'm sorry for dumping reality on you

I dislike doing it

but I felt guilty for knowing

and maybe you didn't even know it yourself

maybe you did

maybe you've come to terms with it

maybe you haven't

maybe I wasn't real

maybe this will heal

and if I've made you hate me, that's okay

because hate is real

and it looks like you've gotten your reality.
