Beheaded Barbie

Sometimes, you give someone your all,

and they gladly give you none.

You're in love, so you quickly fall,

but hit the ground hard, and it's not fun.

Some people really do care,

others just don't give a damn.

You give them all your love till you're bare,

and they just happily kick the can.

Somebody may seem like the one,

but they're just the one who will leave.

Just like the rest, they just wanted some,

and just the same, they'll never be.

The lesson is hard to learn,

how can people just be so selfish?

They remove your shell, let your burn,

leave you on the beach like a stranded shellfish.

Although they say life ain't fair,

you can make the best of it,

be careful who you befriend, they could be an angry mare,

be careful of who you love, they could just up and quit.

This lesson has always been hard for me to learn,

Mostly for the fact that I trust too easily.

But love and friendship I may earn,

if only I can stop being a beheaded Barbie.

I hope the title didn't scare you. xD It just seriously describes me.
