Release

Shattered

Broken record,

thrown on the floor,

rage spewed from his mouth,

anger flashes in his eyes.

Her tears make the floor slippery,

she screams out in anger,

"Why me? Why me Lord?"

She doesn't understand.

A life once beautiful,

suddenly lying on the floor,

bruises across her back,

emotions run high.

Her best friend finds what left of her,

sitting against the wall,

a hopeless look on her face,

a heart shattered.

Words of comfort,

a hug and a kiss on her forehead,

she finds sunshine in the clouds,

finds a man who won't do this to her again.
