"Y/n! Come here," my friend, Clara, called me over to her lunch table. I happily went over and sat next to her. "What's up," i asked. "Okay, so me, lilli, grace, priya, and kacie are gonna do that one tiktok trend going around! You wanna join," she asked after listing people with her fingers. "What trend," i asked. "It's the one where we place the camera in front of all of us and have one boy stand in the back behind us all and during the beat we turn to look at the person with a straight face," she explained. "So... what's the point on looking at them," i questioned curiously. "Whoever they look at first is the girl he likes or something," Priya chimed in. I rose my eyebrows up in understanding. "I guess it might be fun, so sure," i smiled. They cheered and Clara got out her phone.

"So who's our first victim," Grace said with mischievous eyes. "Ooh how about Vincent," Grace winked at Lilli.

We all went our way to go find Vincent.

We were about 8 boys in. I didn't even know that i knew that much boys.

"Oh my god, you know who we should bring in," Clara exclaimed. We all had questioned her. She looked behind us, "Walker! Come over here, we need you!"

My eyes widen. Not walker. Anyone but him. Walker and I never got along. I mean we talked and stuff but we're always saying snarky comments to each other. So, I never thought of us as friends. "Couldn't we do someone else," i whisper to clara. "Nope," she smiled.

"Yo, what do you guys need," he smiled. I looked away from him and just found everything else interested. The ceiling? pretty interesting to me right about now.

"Oh cool! I'd love to do a tiktok," he said. "Great! So just stand behind all of us," grace shoved him to the back. "Hey, im gonna sit this one out," i told them with a small smile. "What's wrong y/n, scared," walker chuckled. "Never mind," i said joining back in the huddle. It was three girls on one side and the other half on the other and walker was behind us in the middle. (yk what i mean? cause i don't)

Kacie went to hit the red button since she was in the front with Clara. The sound started playing. We were all staring at the camera. "So what am i supposed to do," he chuckled nervously.

We turned to look at him. He at first stared at the phone before his eyes darted to me then to Clara then to everyone in the line, heavily confused. He laughed, "what the heck."

His eyes landed back on mine. I was about to break it, but i couldn't.

The sound ended and we all looked away.z Clara was laughing super hard. "What was that," walker questioned once again. "Nothinggg..." she sang. "Now go," lilli pushed him away. He walked away but looked back at us while he did.

Once he was out of the hearing range, the girls squealed. What the flip. "Did you see the way he looked at you, y/n," grace exclaimed. "Right, he wants you," lilli agreed. "Y'all are mad delusional," i retorted. "Me and walker. Never," i added. "Please, the bickering between you is true love," she stated. "enemies to lovers," kacie said in a matter of fact tone. I got up and walked away giving them the finger.

I was sitting in my science class which unfortunately i got paired with walker to do a partner assignment.

"Walker what are you doing! Allele does not belong there. Gene is," i slap his hand away from the diagrams.

We were doing some matching thing and walker sucks butt at it.

"Oops," he laughed at me being angry. "How do people deal with you," i shook my head placing the term in the right definition. "Everyone loves me," he said. I narrow my eyes at him, "Slow down buddy. Don't get all high and mighty, scobell."

He shrugged. "Oh, what was that trend all about. I couldn't find it on tiktok," he asked. "It's nothing. It's stupid," i muttered. "well if it's stupid.. you won't mind telling me," he insisted. I sighed, debating if should.

"It's just a trend where a group of girls ask a random boy to come like how clara called you. So, we stare at the camera then we look at the boy when the sound plays," i said staring the obvious. "and...." he ushered me. I sighed, "Supposedly, whoever the boy looks at first is who he likes."

His face went red for a quick minute but it went away. "Oh! I don't remember who i looked at first," he lied, moving his pencil around the table. "You're such a bad liar, scobell," i laughed.

"So you know who i looked at first," he teased. "Nope," i said. We stayed silent the whole class time, ignoring the slight tension in the air.

"Bro, y/n you gotta help walker," someone said coming up from behind me. I looked at him weird. "What are you going on about, Tanner," i asked. "He's like freaking out about how you might realize that he looked at you first in the trend clara asked him to do," he rambled. So he did know. Interesting.

He went on about it for a couple minutes. "Well i can't help you, so good luck," i patted him on the shoulder and walked off to my bus.
