I was at my locker with my best friend, Cassie.

"So, where were you last night," Cassie asks me. "I was at a cafe with Walker," i smiled. "Again? You guys are practically dating," she sighs. "World's most boring dating, but dating," she adds. "Yeah, I wish, honestly. Imagine us dating. That would be a dream," i said. "He hasn't even asked me out yet,
and I don't know why because we definitely have chemistry, in second period, and in person," i added. Cassie laughs and shakes her head.

I close my locker and turn around. I see walker coming up to us. "Hey y/n! and cassie," he smiles. "Oh hey, what up, walker," i smiled back.

"So I was wondering if you've seen that new detective movie yet," he smiles nervously. "No, no. I'm not really a huge mystery fan," i shrugged.

I can see cassie smiling big in between us.

"Oh. That's too bad..." he says. "I heard about this new pizza place," he perks up.

"It's supposed to be great," he says.

"Yeah, well, I'm gonna have to take your word for it... because I'm not a pizza person," i chuckled. "Oh, I forgot..." he sucks in a breath. "So are there any good non-pizza places you could recommend? I'd love to try one.," he has another smile on his face.

Cassie was looking between us, smiling brightly.

"I'd hate to eat alone... i like company," he rocks back and forth on his heels, with his pockets in his pants.

"Yeah, for sure! Theres a really good restaurant down on Mays street! They actually have tables where you can meet a lot of interesting people! It's super fun," i smile.

Cassie's smile fades and all i see is her banging her head against the locker.

"Uh, okay... so I'll just see you later," he gives a small smile and walks away.

"alrighty, see you walker," i smile.

He walks away and i turn to cassie.

"God, he is so cute," i breathe out. "Why won't he just ask me out already," i shake my head.

Cassie hits me, "He just did. Three times!!"

"What do you think the movie, pizza, and the "where can I eat non-pizza not alone" was about," she moves her hand like a crazy person.

"Hm?"

She huffs, "Come on, y/n, you can't be that oblivious!"

"I'm not oblivious," i denied her. "Talk to me when you get the hint," she pushes me into class.

This girl..

I'm at lunch now and Walker was eating across from me.

"Uh.. back to what I was trying to ask earlier-"

"Oooh did you find a good place," i asked, smiling. "No.. i was hoping you could.. help me find one. Then go together," he says nervously.

"Oh cool! Of course! Who else are you bringing? I could ask-"

"Y/n!!"

I look at him.

"I'm trying to ask you out! On a date. Just us. No one else," he exclaims.

Ohhh

"I would love to! We can go to this new place opening up," i smile. He smiles, "Can't wait!"
