I've been best friends with walker for so long, so if he gets a girlfriend... I have the right to know about her, right?

He's been wearing this gray scrunchie around his wrist for two weeks, but he acts like he doesn't even know about it. He hasn't mentioned anything about it, and i'm nosy.

"Hey, walker! Wait up," I shout trying to run after him. Gosh, he walks like a giant.

He turns around and smiles as he sees me.

"Y/n! What's up," he asks me.

"I've been meaning to ask you this," i say slowly.

He raises his eyebrow, "Ask me what?"

"why do you have that scrunchie," i ask.

"huh? what do you mean," he asks in confusion.

"that gray one right now. You've had it the past two weeks and i'm wondering why you haven't told me that you got a girlfriend," i exclaim.

"WOAH! girlfriend?!"

He looks at me like he just heard the most bizarre thing ever.

"yes!! No boy has a scrunchie unless it's to silently tell people that he's taken," i cross my arms.

He sighs, "wow, you caught me!"

His tone was filled with sarcasm.

"So, who is it," i try to plead an answer out of him.

"it's no one. It's actually..." he pauses. His face goes red, probably felt too embarrassed to say it.

"come onnnn," i nudge him harder.

"for you," he smiles softly.

"for me," i say confused.

"yeah... you always somehow lose your hair ties so the last time i went over to your house... i took your scrunchie and just kept it with me. You've asked to use it a bunch of times, so I'll say it's working," he laughs.

My heart flutters. He did it for me? Oh, he's so sweet. This boy can do anything and it will make my heart melt.

"I knew that looked familiar," i laugh, holding his wrist with the scrunchie.

"I'm surprised you didn't realize," he says.

"Thanks, walker. This is so sweet of you," i smile and hug him for a quick second.

"This is the only thing you've caught on to something that I've done for you," he whispers.

"wait what," i say quickly. I turn my head to look at him.

He only shrugs as a response.
