he can stay

He let her down for the second time! Or maybe it has been more than twice, but how could she know when all she ever did was protect him like she thought he protected her. The image of walking into Clay's bedroom, ready to tell Justin how much she needed him right now, how much she needed her brother, the one that understood her better than anyone, even herself, it was gone. Justin left her for the second time.

"Don't worry about it" Sheri spoke, in the coffee shop was Clay, Mia and Sheri. The two half siblings called Sheri the next morning to meet up to discuss what they could do about Justin "He'll be back" Mia looked at her wondering how she could be so optimistic.

"How do you know Sheri, he left us for the second time" Mia spoke drinking her smoothie by the pink straw "Because he is sick as hell, he can't go to the city, he's got no money, no car" Sheri pointed some facts trying to make Mia feel a little better.

"Yeah maybe" Clay spoke, his eyes glanced to his sister watching as she was devastatin drinking her smoothie, his eyes seemed glued to some thought "You are okay?" Mia asked hitting him with her elbow.

"Can we trust you?" he asked getting closer to Sheri on the other side of the table, Mia mimicked his actions "Always" she responded looking between the two Jensen.

Clay places his hand on the inside of hs pocket, Mia already knowing what he was gonna grab, the poloraid. With one last glance at Mia he slipped the photo to Sheri asking "Do you have any ideia where at school these might have been taken?"

"No I- I don't recognize it" Sheri spoke, Clay's face fells slitghly "Wait is that?"Sheri starts not able to end her question.

"Bryce" Mia affirms with a sad smile "Wow" she breathes out, the three fall silently. "We should head to school" Clay breaks the silent.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Mia" Sheri breaks the silence in the car "You really don't know where those pictures were taken?" her hands on the straring wheel get harder, holding it stronger "If I knew I would say" Sheri looks at her doubting"Would you really?" Mia stops the car on one of the free parking spots looking at Sheri "What does that mean?" she asked confused.

The burnette massages her hands on her head, pushing a few hairs behind her ear "I fell like you may be protecting them, Bryce. Maybe because they are still your friends, even after everything he did" Mia's eyes lock with Sheri, maybe it was true, but she was doing it all unconsciously "I don't know where those pictures were taken Sheri." she admits but Sheri doesn't talk just yet felling like Mia has something else to say "It just hurts to think of him like someone who would do that, he was really good friend of mineonce ago, and now he is just-" she cuts herself.

"I get it Mia, I do. But Bryce is not the same boy you met in eight or nine grade Mia, you need to let that image of him go, it's only hurting you" the best friend advices, Mia nods her head getting herself back together after a long breath.

"Let's go to class" she says steping out of her car, followed by the burnette girl. Today she was wearing some jeans with a black winter weather sweater, some high heel boots. On the iner coner of her eyes bright pink matching the tone of bluch she would always wear.

"Sit next to me?" Sheri asked, placing her bag on one of the tables, Mia looked at her on a totally diferent place where she normally sits she wondered if she should join Sheri or just wait for the other boys. The conversation they had just minuts ago rushing back to her memory, letting him go, and so she did, she sat by Sheri's side.

"I'm letting it go" she whsipers placing down at the table her bag as well, the burnette smiled at her best friend, proud of her.

"I'm obsessed with this new life you are leading" Ryan said approaching the two girls, he layed slitgly his back on the empty table by Sheri's side "At least Sheri's new life" he smiled at Mia that only showed him her middle finger. Both smirk knowing it wasn't something offensive "But I need to ask you a question about your old cheerleading days" he says.
